Netflix has begun announcing cast members for its live-action entry in the Avatar franchise. We've heard of Goombas hurting Mario in Super Mario Bros., but this is ridiculous. Super Nintendo World in Japan has been forced to temporarily close some of its attractions after a statue of several stacked Goombas broke free, falling onto the track of a ride. Fortunately, no one was hurt, or else they would have had to start the whole ride over again.As reported by the Japanese publication Asahi Digital and translated by VGC, a statue that features four Goomba enemies stacked on top of each other broke off earlier this month. A short film detailing the start of the No-Pat civil war that takes place in Battlefield 2042 has solidified the game's connection to Battlefield 4. The two games officially take place in the same universe, with two characters from Battlefield 4's campaign playing prominent roles in the film.The film starts with Kimble "Irish" Graves, voiced by Micahel K. Williams (who played Omar in The Wire), exploring ruins while looking for an important data package. As it turns out, the package is being hauled by none other than his former squadmate, Clayton "Pac" Pakowski, voiced by Andrew Lawrence.However, Irish decides that the package is best kept away from No-Pat leader Oz, sparking the No-Pat civil war. Apple Original Films has announced that it will be the streaming home on November 5 for the long-delayed Tom Hanks-starring sci-fi movie, Finch. First announced as Bios in October 2017, the post-apocalyptic drama was originally slated for a 2020 theatrical release but the pandemic complicated those plans repeatedly.Apple acquired Finch back in May this year. The movie is, according to a release (via The Hollywood Reporter), about "a robotics engineer and one of the few survivors of a cataclysmic solar event that has left the world a wasteland. But Finch, who has been living in an underground bunker for a decade, has built a world of his own that he shares with his dog, Goodyear." Finch eventually builds a robot--voiced by Caleb Landry Jones (Get Out)--and the trio "embarks on a perilous journey into a desolate American West."The movie promises to be an exploration of "the joy and wonder of what it means to be alive," which should carry additional weight given recent real-world events. Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been delayed by Sony once more. According to Variety, the sequel to 2018's hit Marvel film Venom will now hit theaters on October 15.Venom: Let There Be Carnage was previously scheduled to arrive on September 24, having been delayed multiple times since its initial October 2020 slot. The latest shift in release date follows a surge in COVID-19 infections in the US, due to the more infectious Delta variant of the virus. Bungie is making a host of balancing changes to Destiny 2 when Season 15 starts on August 24, and those alterations are going to include a number of pieces of Exotic armor that have come to dominate in the game. Exotics that give players Super energy are getting reworked in a big way, with several major ones getting nerfed and a few that have fallen away being adjusted to bring them back into circulation. There are enough changes, it seems, that we're likely to see Destiny 2's meta shake up pretty significantly in a couple of weeks, especially in the PvP arena known as the Crucible.The details about Exotic changes were part of a This Week At Bungie post, where the developer also showed off new Iron Banner armor and weapons coming next season, and discussed changes to several armor mods and their perks. Most of the Exotic changes center on items that help you recharge your Super more quickly in-game, but a few other pieces, such as Hunters' Graviton Forfeit, Titans' Precious Scars, and Warlocks' The Stag, have also been tuned to adjust their benefits in some notable ways.For the Super-granting Exotics, all have been tweaked to cap just how much Super energy you can get back when using them. All of these Exotics allow you to recharge your Super while using your Super, depending on how effectively you do so.
