FX president and general manager John Landgraf discussed the upcoming Alien series, which is coming to the network in the next couple of years. The series was originally announced in December 2020.During the TCA summer press tour presentation for FX, Landgraf said that the upcoming Alien series will be grounded. "I think that [FX is] very conscious of the fact that there's a cinematic universe, if you will, and while it has some flexibility, the aesthetic that was established by Ridley Scott and continued by James Cameron is a part of that universe," Landgraf said. South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are buying Casa Bonita. The much-loved Mexican-themed entertainment restaurant in Lakewood, Colorado, has featured in South Park and was facing bankruptcy.As reported by CBS Denver, Parker and Stone revealed that they had reached a financial agreement with the owners of Casa Bonita in a live-streamed Facebook interview with Colorado governor Jared Polis. Stone explained that the deal was still pending legal proceedings, but the pair seem confident it will go through."We know that there have been a lot of people in Colorado that love Casa Bonita and have been working on this and we're excited to work with everybody and make it the place we all want to make it," Parker said. Call of Duty's Season 5 is live in Warzone, and players may want to investigate the mysterious new structures on Verdansk '84. Warzone's Red Doors are also starting to behave differently. As previously mentioned in Activision's blog, Warzone will have a Red Door-themed mid-season event, but it's worth speculating if all of the new map changes will be related to the event, or if there are other mysteries or Easter egg quests to uncover before then. Don't expect any drastic landscape changes or major points of interest. It's not certain what these mobile antennas will be used for, but some of them are emitting a hum or some kind of radio frequency. Konami has announced that the side-scrolling game, Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, is coming to iOS and Mac via Apple Arcade. The game was announced back in 2018 and then released in Canada in 2019, only to be delisted last year. Now it's making a return.Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls has a playable line-up of classic characters from the series, such as Alucard, Simon Belmont, Charlotte, Shanoa, and Maria. It also has character designs from Ayami Kojima and music from Michiru Yamane.The game features an original story in the Castlevania universe, set in a world where Dracula has been sealed away. Remedy Entertainment has celebrated a big milestone for its latest IP, Control, with the action game having officially reached 10 million players. This has emboldened Remedy to push on with Control, with a new big budget entry already being planned.Being a new IP, 10 million players is a welcome figure for Remedy Entertainment. As pointed out in the briefing, this does not necessarily mean that Control sold 10 million copies, however. The game was offered for free on the Epic Games store a few months ago, while the Control: Ultimate Edition launched on PS Plus when it arrived on PS5 in February. The regular version of Control is also part of Xbox Game Pass, which Microsoft said had over 23 million subscribers at the end of April 2021.The news was part of the studio's latest investor briefing, which vaguely outlined some of the new projects the developer is tackling now. Call of Duty's Season 5 adds an ambitious new investigative objective mode to Black Ops Cold War called Double Agent. Apex Legends, Respawn's popular free-to-play shooter, has cross-play across all platforms. Users on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Origin, and Steam can all link up and play together. The game did not launch with cross-play, but it was added in October 2020.
