Despite being plagued with release and production delays, Disney+'s Marvel Cinematic Universe projects are still very much moving forward. The upcoming Ms. Marvel TV show has found its lead in newcomer Iman Vellani who, will be taking on the role of Kamala Khan, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The news comes shortly after another MCU Disney+ project, She-Hulk, found its lead in Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany.Kamala Khan, who recently took center stage in the Avengers video game, has become a massively popular character in the Marvel universe following her debut in 2013. A Muslim teenager from New Jersey, Kamala was introduced as a passionate superhero fan. Kamala initially believed herself to be just a regular girl, but when an attack from the Inhumans covered parts of the globe in mutagenic "Terrigen Mists," Kamala learned that there was a secret locked deep within her DNA. The mists triggered a transformation in her that activated a superpower to grow and change her body's size or "embiggen, as she puts it."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

By now you've almost definitely heard of Among Us, the exceedingly popular deception-based party game that's netted several millions of downloads in the last few months alone. While Among Us is enjoying massive success--no doubt due to lockdown, its accessible crossplay support, and the fact that it's free to play--it isn't the only game of its kind. If you're on the hunt for similar social deduction games that boast a fine balance between cooperation and deception and can be played online, no contact necessary, check out some of our favorites in the roundup below.Push the Button (Jackbox Party Pack 6)Voting players off in Push the Button from The Jackbox Party Pack 6.Platforms: PC/Mac/Linux (Steam, Humble, Epic Games), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, AndroidLike Among Us, Jackbox Party Pack 6's Push the Button is a social deception game that supports 4-10 players. It's also set in space and separates teams into humans and aliens. The humans' goal is to identify the aliens and eject them from the ship while the aliens work to sabotage those plans and get the humans to misidentify each other. I prefer Push the Button to Among Us for its more humorous minigames and deliberation sessions. In one minigame, players have to draw a picture based on a prompt, but the aliens are given a slightly different prompt. If an alien "hacks" one of the tests, a human player might be given an alien prompt, which could bring them under scrutiny from their teammates.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Now, Hasbro is dipping into the Ghostbuster franchise to create collectibles that recreate some of your favorite items from the films. The Ghostbusters Plasma Series Spengler’s Neutrona Wand is a bit of a mouthful for a collectible, but the second you see it, you'll get flashbacks to the first time you saw Ghostbusters. However, this is a replica from the upcoming movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which hits theaters on March 5, 2021. Hasbro sent us the replica, and you can check out a few images below.Much like the Darth Revan Force FX lightsaber, the Neutrona Wand has an LED light tube incorporated into the collectible that flashes when activated. If you're a child of the '80s or '90s, chances are you know about the video game console wars. Before the era of PlayStations and Xboxes, many of that era grew up as either Nintendo kids or Sega kids. Of course, the war between the two video game companies went far deeper than playground squabbles about whether Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis had the superior Aladdin game--t was Sega, by the way. There was also a battle in the boardrooms of Nintendo and Sega, as the companies battled for video game console supremacy, which takes center stage in the new CBS All Access documentary Console Wars, from directors Blake J. Harris and Jonah Tulis. Harris also wrote a novel of the same name, which was released back in 2014. What many might now know, though, is that the documentary doesn't exist because of the book. Instead, they were developed simultaneously, along with another medium they want to use to tell this story."Blake came to me and said, 'I found this cool story. I don't know what it is yet.' He's like, 'I think it's a book,'" Tulis told GameSpot. At the time, the two were screenwriting and film producing partners, which gave Tulis the idea that, given how visual a medium video games are, this could make for an interesting documentary.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It was back in February 2019 that fans of the first Happy Death Day movie were treated to a sequel to the time loop horror-comedy: Happy Death Day 2U. Since then, viewers have been clamoring for a followup, given that the film ends on a cliffhanger, but it's never been a certainty that they'd actually get one. After all, the film made about half of what the first did at the box office. While both were produced on very small budgets, the diminishing returns could be enough for producers to move on.Thankfully for this franchise, though, that doesn't seem to be the case. While director Christopher Landon and star Jessica Rothe have been vocal supporters of getting to do a third Happy Death Day movie, they're not alone. Speaking to GameSpot, producer and Blumhouse Productions founder Jason Blum was adamant that the story gets a proper ending."It's a trilogy. I've got to make the third one," Blum said, while promoting the Welcome to the Blumhouse movies that debut on Amazon Prime Video in October. With another movie from Landon, the serial killer body swap film Freaky, set to hit theaters soon, Blum thinks the time to strike might be soon. "Maybe after Freaky we'll figure it out," he hinted. "Both of us really want to do it. So hopefully we'll figure it out."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Idris Elba has faced off against powerhouses like Hela, Hobbs, and Shaw, but can he survive an encounter with a lion? Elba's is in for a rough day in survival thriller Beast, according to a report from THR.Initial reports offer very little on the film's plot, other than that Elba will be fighting for his life as a lion hunts him; reports compare the film to Blake Lively's The Shallows, which has her surviving a shark attack. The thriller is an original idea from producer Jamie Primak-Sullivan, with writer Ryan Engle working on the script. Icelandic director Baltasar Kormakur is set to direct, and will produce alongside Primak-Sullivan, Will Packer, and James Lopez. Portable consoles featuring internal batteries need to be charged occasionally to maintain the health of the battery, as a drained battery left for a long time can run into problems. Nintendo has reminded people of this fact with a tweet about the Switch, and it's gone viral. The Japanese Nintendo support information account made the tweet below on September 28. It translates to "The battery built into the game console may become unchargeable if it has not been charged or used for too long. Please charge it once every six months."ゲーム機に内蔵されているバッテリーは、あまり長い間、充電も使用もしていない状態が続くと、充電できなくなることがあります。半年に一度は充電してあげてください。 pic.twitter.com/Je8QNH5SNT — 任天堂サポート (@nintendo_cs) September 28, 2020This is an issue that few owners of the system have likely thought about, but it's also a solid reminder for the health of the older systems that are gathering dust on shelves and in cupboards, from the Game Boy Advance SP to the Nintendo 3DS. Owners of the Sony PSP have recently found that their units have suffered from swelling batteries that have rendered them unusable--especially since PSP batteries are in short supply these days. This is more likely to be an issue for Switch Lite users than owners of the standard Switch--the console will charge when placed into the dock, after all. Most players would be keeping their system charged, though--22.4 million Animal Crossing sales suggests that the Switch's owner base is quite active. The Switch has two major Nintendo-published exclusives coming later this year: Pikmin 3 Deluxe on October 30 and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity on November 20. The next fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also be revealed very soon, which should be a very good reason for fans to make sure their system is charged. The saga of Stadia, Google's streaming game service that still hasn't released in many regions around the world, keeps getting stranger. Google has just released a new Chromecast for TVs, and while it comes with over 6500 apps, Stadia isn't one of them right now.The Verge got their hands on the new Chromecast, which comes with Google TV, and found that there was no official Stadia app at launch. While they were able to get Stadia working through sideloading, it's not an ideal solution, and it means that using Google's service on this Google product at launch is inconvenient.According to The Verge, the device will be updated to support Stadia officially in "the first half" of 2021. Stadia is officially supported by the Chromecast Ultra, which makes its lack of inclusion here especially confusing. The only way to get the Ultra now is through the Stadia Premiere Edition kit, strangely enough.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The supernatural teen chiller The Craft was a box office hit back in 1996, and despite mixed reviews at the time, has developed a cult following over the years. It's taken nearly 25 years for a follow-up, but The Craft: Legacy releases next month and the first trailer has been released. The trailer suggests that the new Craft movie isn't a remake, but a sequel to the original movie. The basic story is much the same--a shy teenager named Lily starts a new school and starts up a friendship with three other girls. The group secretly practises witchcraft and use their powers to help make life at school a little easier, but it seems that Lily is very powerful, and inevitably things start to get out of control. The connection with the first movie is that film's star, Fairuza Balk, appears in a photo, revealing that this Craft takes place in the same universe. Check the trailer out below. The Craft: Legacy stars Cailee Spaeny (Devs), Gideon Adlon (Blockers), Lovie Simone (Orange Is the New Black), Zoey Luna (Pose), Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible: Fallout), and David Duchovny (The X-Files). Assassin's Creed Valhalla trailers have mostly focused on its new Viking setting, with only faint glimmers of the underlying Assassin / Templar feud. But the latest story trailer for Ubisoft's open-world adventure starts bringing into focus the true nature of the invasion of England. The trailer centers on protagonist Eivor (portrayed in the trailer as male, though players will be able to select a female Eivor for their playthrough) and Sigurd, with the latter acting as a key figure that introduces the idea of pushing into England. Sigurd also seemingly brings along members of the Assassin Order, who suggest that there's more to be found in England than just a new homeThe trailer sets the tone for the conflict the game will host, but also gives you a great look at some of the picturesque areas you will explore. That includes kingdoms ruled by King Alfred of Wessex and the sons of Ragnar Lothbrok. Each of these areas look to have their own distinct styling according to their rule, which should make for varied exploration around the map.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
