Developer Sucker Punch Productions detailed the new free content coming to Ghost of Tsushima for PlayStation 4 on October 16, including the Legends multiplayer mode. In announcing the new add-ons, Sucker Punch confirmed that there is a spirit dog you can absolutely pet.Legends is a cooperative mode in Ghost of Tsushima, where you can team up with either one other person for story missions or up to three other people for survival and raid experiences. In Legends, you can choose between four classes--the Assassin, Hunter, Ronin, and Samurai--each equipped with their own abilities and weapons. But it's the Ronin that can summon the spirit dog.On the PlayStation Blog, senior game designer Darren Bridges said you might choose the Ronin because they can not only revive the entire team (fulfilling a support kind of role) but can also "summon a Spirit Dog. (And yes, you can ABSOLUTELY pet your Spirit Dog!)"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Riot's new shooter Valorant has only been out for a few months, but it's already gone through quite a few major changes, including new characters, weapon rebalancing, and a panoply of bug fixes. As the game approaches its third season--which Riot calls "Acts"--the developers have put together a new video that reveals the major shifts coming to the game's competitive mode in the coming days.As the above video shows, Riot acknowledges that many players have voiced frustration about the skill disparity in ranked matchmaking. Starting in Act 3, you will only be able to queue up with players who are within 3 ranks of you, rather than the current 6. This means that a Diamond 3 will only be able to queue up with players who are ranked at least Platinum 3, but not higher than Immortal 3. So, if you're a lot better at the game than your friends, you're out of luck, at least when it comes to ranked play."When we were first setting up ranked for launch, one big goal we had was to embrace social play, to let players from wider skill disparities play together," says David Cole, a designer on Valorant. "...But while the former values of social play are important, they should never come at the expense of your ranked accomplishments."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The book has a chapter devoted to pranks played on the show's cast and crew.EW has another preview of the book and goes into detail about one prank in particular that was pulled in 2009 during the filming of the show's original pilot. Showrunner David Benioff remembers playing "the darkest prank ever" on Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)."Here's a minor prank we pulled during season one: We told Maisie and Sophie that since they were underage, they couldn't come to the pilot wrap party," Benioff said. "So we told them they were going to have a special underage wrap party at McDonald's. They started crying."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Nintendo has announced that a new series of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Amiibo figures are launching next year. The set--which includes Banjo & Kazooie, Byleth, and Terry--is slated to drop in Fall 2021.The company has not specified how many figures will be produced in this set. Additionally, prices for each figure have not been disclosed. However, Amiibo figures typically retail for anywhere between $10 USD for a single and $30 for a three-pack. Most individual Amiibo, including newer Smash Bros. figurines, cost $16, so these will presumably be the same price.Banjo & Kazooie, Byleth, and Terry are part of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Fighter Pass 1 and the latest DLC characters to receive figures. The full pack includes Person 5's Joker, Dragon Quest's Hero, and the aforementioned three characters from Banjo-Kazooie, Fatal Fury, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Both Joker and Hero already have Amiibos, meaning the full Figher Pass 1 figurine set will be complete next year. Fighter Pass 1 retails for $25.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

We're just over a month away from the release of Cyberpunk 2077 on November 19--provided it doesn't get delayed again--and we might have our first look at the game's full map. Today, a leaker posted a physical map on ResetEra included with Cyberpunk's physical edition that appears to show the game's full Night City, including such locales as Heywood, Santo Domingo, and Watson. The world map of Cyberpunk 2077, as leaked by a ResetEra userThe map appears to line up with what we've seen of the game's seven major districts in promotional materials--particularly our lengthy video that goes over each of those districts, as well as the gangs and factions that appear in each one. The leaker also included a set of postcards that come with the game's physical edition.Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold, but development continues as CD Projekt Red continues to prepare for patches and updates that will follow the game's release. The game has received two commercials that star noted actor Keanu Reeves, as he portrays one of the game's many cybernetically-enhanced criminals. As previously reported, workers at CD Projekt Red are being forced to undergo crunch as part of the game's final leg of development, with a mandatory 6-day workweek. After that announcement, Bloomberg reported that some staff have been crunching nights and weekends for over a year to finish the game, despite CDPR's previous commitment to avoid crunch during the game's development.Info from Gamespot.com

Since launch, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been the most notable example of the ballooning sizes of games. Even at launch, its massive 175GB recommended installation size was surprising, but it's since grown beyond the capabilities of an entire OS SSD.Right now, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare cannot fit on a single 250GB SSD, which prevents you from updating the game if you've somehow decided to dedicate an entire drive to just one game. The increase in size has been steady over the months as both Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone grow, but it finally reached this tipping point with its latest update. Twitter user BattleNonSense shared the situation on the platform.@CallofDuty MW nolonger fits onto a 250GB SSD and cannot be updated.....@Activision @Blizzard_Ent please split up SP, MP and Warzone. pic.twitter.com/pSZdlSldvK — Battle(non)sense (@BattleNonSense) October 3, 2020On PC there is no way to choose what parts of Modern Warfare you want to install, meaning you'll have to find space for the single-player campaign, co-op Spec Ops missions, multiplayer, and the free-to-play Warzone mode even if you're only playing one component. That isn't the case on consoles (Modern Warfare and Warzone can be downloaded independently) and even past Call of Duty releases on Steam separated single and multiplayer content.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Fall Guys is getting a brand-new level this Thursday when Season 2 hits. It's called Knight Fever and it's full of axes, giant logs covered in spikes, and other deadly obstacles that'll send little beans flying across the map.Revealed in a video on IGN, Knight Fever is another race level similar to The Whirlygig or Hit Parade where players have to rush to the end or risk getting eliminated. Players will have to navigate across a bridge with swinging axes, balance across spike covered logs, and then dodge the community-named "Thicc Bonkus." It does not look like an easy race to get through unscathed.Fall Guys Season 2, which was first shown off at Gamescom, is launching later this week. A Call of Duty: Warzone player hit the luckiest shot of their life recently. Redditor MegasHvalur was able to take out an entire enemy squad with one shot from their sniper rifle.I just wiped this 4 man squad with 1 bullet from r/CODWarzone"I was playing with the boys and we were totally shocked when we all died to some "unknown" explosion. After couple minutes we realized it was the munition box I threw on the ground [and you] shot," said Redditor AtriGoXD, who was one of the players on the unlucky end of the snipe. "I even clipped with Nvidia shadow play to see what was going on. Not going to lie, I think you got kinda lucky man xD."AtriGoXD added that one of their teammates reported MegasHvalur for cheating out of frustration. The shot was one in a million as you can't see anything through the sniper scope in the video due to foliage and tree cover. It seems that MegasHvalur shot a munition box, an item that helps players restock ammo but explodes if shot, through all the leaves. It's another Hollywood action movie moment in Verdansk.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Walking Dead returned for a single episode, which was originally supposed to be the series finale. For the most part, this new installment, titled "A Certain Doom," was rather underwhelming. AMC's decision to announce the show will be ending after next season made a lot of the episode's stakes irrelevant. However, there is still one scene worth noting.Warning: The following contains spoilers for The Walking Season Season 10, Episode 16--"A Certain Doom." If you've not watched this episode yet, stop reading now.Toward the end of the episode, Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura), Ezekiel (Khary Payton), and Princess (Paola Lazaro) encounter a group of heavily armored and armed soldiers that order them to drop their weapons. Given that this is the zombie apocalypse and nobody on their show has done their laundry in what seems like a decade the pristine, white armor of the soldiers stands out in a major way--and it should.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Bad news, Dune fans. Our trip to Arrakis has been majorly postponed. Denis Villeneuve's Dune has been pushed out of its December 18, 2020 spot for a new release date on October 1, 2021, Collider reports.Yes, that means the movie has gone from being just a small handful of months away to a full year away. The decision reportedly comes after Warner Bros. shuffled its upcoming release calendar to account for other delays, such as Wonder Woman 1984, which was bumped from its October 2 spot to Christmas Day. The change probably isn't a major surprise to anyone who has been keeping tabs on blockbusters, as it seems to be yet another piece of a trend for studios entering the back-half of the year. MGM has also pushed the upcoming James Bond film, No Time To Die, from its November 12 spot to April 2, 2021, and Disney has moved Black Widow to May 7, 2021.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Last year's final season of Game of Thrones was one of the most discussed in the show's history. From the death of the Night King to Daenerys's chilling murder spree, there were many controversial events across its eight episodes. But one moment that the makers did not expect to make headlines was the now-legendary coffee cup.In case you've forgotten, this happened in Episode 4, when a very 21st century-looking coffee cup briefly appeared on a table in front of Dany, as she sat watching people flocked around Jon Snow, singing his praises for his prowess in battle. Now showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have spoken about the moment they realised that the cup hadn't been spotted during production or post-production.Benioff and Weiss discuss the mistake in James Hibberd's upcoming book Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon, which goes behind the scenes of the whole show. "I couldn't believe it," Benioff said, via The Hollywood Reporter. "When we got the email about it the next day, I honestly thought someone was pranking us, because there had been things before where people were like, 'Oh, look at that plane in the background!' and somebody had Photoshopped it in. I thought, 'There's no way there's a coffee cup in there.' Then when I saw it on the TV I was like, 'How did I not see that?'"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Mortal Kombat 11 producer Ed Boon has announced a new sales milestone for the fighting game, and teased an impending announcement. The NetherRealm studio founder announced on Twitter that MK11 had sold 8 million units since its launch in April 2019.The potential bigger news of his tweet, though, was that a new announcement is coming this week. Boon said that "what's next for MK11" will be shown, suggesting this will be news surrounding the current game, not a new game or the long-rumored Injustice 3. He did not announce a Kombat Kast, so it's unknown how or when the new announcement will be made. With next-gen consoles (ahem, konsoles) coming soon, this could be an announcement of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions or upgrades. Or it could be a whole new round of DLC altogether, as leaks have suggested more characters on the way. So far NetherRealm has added a slew of additional characters to the mix, along with the story-focused epilogue Aftermath. That update added some new features like Friendships and new finishers for free as well.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
