With Phase 4 officially kicking off, the MCU is looking a little different. For one, there's officially an active multiverse now, thanks to Loki and Sylvie taking out He Who Remains over on Disney+. Of course, given the entirely esoteric nature of time and the universe within Marvel in general, it's extremely difficult to pin down exactly what this means and how it affects things moving forward. For instance, is the multiverse retroactive? Is the flow of time strictly linear or was that also messed up in the chaos of the branching timelines? What exactly constitutes an alternate reality and how do you differentiate them from something like the Quantum Realm or an alternate dimension?Of course, there are a lot of extremely comic book semantics at play here and the answers, if they come at all, are likely going to be doled out in pieces. We've already got some hints of what might be on the horizon with the new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, which teased a Doctor Strange spell going awry and causing all sorts of reality warping. The Nintendo Switch is primarily a game console. Aquaman star Jason Momoa has revealed the new-look costume he will wear for the upcoming movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The show was first announced in February, and Waller-Bridge was set to star alongside Donald Glover.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fleabag creator Waller-Bridge has exited Mr. And Mrs. Smith due to "creative differences." Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings scored a big opening weekend at the US box office. The latest Marvel movie made $71.4 million in its first three days on release, taking the No. 2 slot on the box office chart and setting a new record for the Labor Day weekend. The record was previously held by 2007's Halloween remake.Shang-Chi's opening gross is the second-highest of the pandemic era, after Black Widow, which made $80.3 million in July. However, as Box Office Mojo notes, Black Widow was also available on Disney+ Premium Access, whereas Shang-Chi can only be seen in theaters. Nevertheless, it's a great result for the movie, particularly at a time when there is concern about the surge of COVID-19 infections in the US. The Taiwanese retailer Rakuten has listed Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake Remastered for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox on its website. AEW has been the talk of the town in 2021, with the promotion's expansion with a new Friday night show--Rampage--and signing CM Punk to a deal. There's been a lot of build to the latest AEW PPV, All Out. This year's event returns to the Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois--although the event is billed as taking place in Chicago.
