Escape From Tarkov patch 12.8 is now live following last week's delay. Like the last major update, there is no wipe associated with 12.8. The update size appears to be about 675 MB, which is smaller than July's update, but the changes are still significant. The addition of a heavy bleeding status effect is particularly important to note, but 12.8 also adds the compass, a handful of new weapons and skills, and more. Call of Duty: Warzone's limited-time The Haunting of Verdansk event hits tomorrow and runs through November 3. It includes a nighttime version of Verdansk in some modes, a Zombie Royale mode where dead players have to kill to revive themselves, and a trick-or-treat reward system with special blueprints and cosmetics.Activision and Infinity Ward released a trailer today that shows off many of the new costumes, game modes, and new elements coming with The Haunting of Verdansk. Characters from both Saw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre are featured predominantly as both Leatherface and Billy the Puppet skins are coming to the in-game store.One of the biggest changes is a new nighttime variant for Verdansk. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, GameStop is following the lead of other major retailers, including Walmart and Target, by announcing its stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day this year. Since 2017, GameStop has opened around 3 or 4 PM in the afternoon on Thanksgiving Day to allow shoppers to start their Black Friday shopping early, so this announcement marks a return to GameStop's older practice of closing on the US holiday.While you'll be able to shop in stores on Wednesday and Friday that week as usual, you'll also find Black Friday deals online and on GameStop's new mobile app. GameStop has not revealed when its Black Friday 2020 deals will start rolling out, but it did say in a press release that its biggest deals of the season will be available "earlier than ever before." Pokemon Sword and Shield's Crown Tundra expansion launches later this week, and new details about the DLC continue to trickle in ahead of its release. We learned some more tidbits about the expansion's new Dynamax Adventures feature during a recent episode of Japanese show Pokenchi, including how Legendary Pokemon encounters will work.Dynamax Adventures lets up to four players cooperatively explore Pokemon Raid dens together. As Serebii reports, players will battle three Dynamax Pokemon successively while exploring a Raid den. After each battle, you'll get to choose which route to take through the den, which will determine which Pokemon you battle along the way. Any HP or PP you lose during a battle will also carry forward, but you'll have the opportunity to heal your Pokemon by encountering certain characters or finding berries as you explore.If you successfully defeat all three Dynamax Pokemon, you'll encounter a Legendary Pokemon at the end of the den. These Legendaries will have a 100% catch rate, meaning you're guaranteed to capture the Pokemon if you can successfully defeat them. The first trailer for Netflix movie Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, starring Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman, has arrived, bringing an unflinching look at blues music pioneer Ma Rainey (Davis) and her road to stardom in the late 1920s. The movie is based on the play of the same name by August Wilson, who also wrote the play Fences, which was adapted into a feature film back in 2016 starring Davis and Denzel Washington.Ma Rainey's Black Bottom will be Boseman's final film, following his death in August of this year. The 1974 classic Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the the most influential horror movies of all time and has been followed by numerous sequels, prequels, and remakes over the years. The ninth film in the series is due for release in 2021, and the first poster has been released.The movie doesn't have an official title yet, but the poster has been revealed at the film's new website texaschainsaw.com. Early details on Hustle indicate Sandler plays a down-on-his-luck NBA basketball scout who finds an incredible talent overseas and fights for his chances to join a team. The movie's genre has not yet been revealed, meaning it could be construed as a continuation of Sandler's drama turn in the thriller Uncut Gems--or it could be another goofball comedy.The announced cast as reported by Deadline doesn't offer any further clues on which way the tone might be tipping: Rapper-actor Queen Latifah (22 Jump Street), Oscar-winner Robert Duvall (Apocalypse Now), and Ben Foster (Leave No Trace, X-Men: The Last Stand) will co-star alongside Sandler. NBA player Juancho Hernangomez and sports commentator Kenny Smith also appear in the film, lending the film's world extra credibility. Working actors usually audition for plenty of roles, but rarely does anyone get to see them. For the new release of the Back to the Future trilogy on 4K--which arrives on October 20--one of the special features showcases a few big names you may be familiar with. This includes Ben Stiller, who recently appeared in Adam Sandler's Hubie Halloween.In the special feature "An Alternate Future: Lost Audition Tapes," six audition tapes are shown for various actors, with the most notable being Ben Stiller. While he may be a household name now, back in 1984-85, he hadn't landed a major role. Stiller was around 19 at the time, trying out to play Marty McFly. The brief video shows Stiller reading lines, and he's pretty great. Both C Thomas Howell (The Outsiders) and Jon Cryer (Pretty in Pink) tried out for Marty McFly as well, but neither fit the role as well as Stiller did from the audition tapes. However, as good as Stiller seemed from the short clip, there is no one better for that role than Michael J. Fox.However, there are other audition roles in the featurette. Billy Zane (Titanic) tries out for the role of Biff Tannen--and frankly, he's not very believable as the infamous bully. However, he ended up being in both Back to the Future 1 and 2 as Match, Biff's sidekick. Peter DeLuise (21 Jump Street) also tried out for the role of Tannen. Mega Venusaur was one of the first three Mega Raid bosses to appear in Pokemon Go after developer Niantic introduced Mega Evolutions to the game, but it won't be around for much longer. The studio has announced that Mega Venusaur will be leaving Raid battles this Friday, October 23 (when Pokemon Go's Halloween 2020 event kicks off), but you'll have other ways to earn Venusaur Mega Energy after it's gone.Following Mega Venusaur's departure, Niantic says you'll be able to receive Venusaur Mega Energy as a reward for completing certain Field Research tasks. The studio also teases that it will hold an event next month that will feature exclusive Timed Research tasks, and completing these will likewise net you Venusaur Mega Energy.Other changes to Mega Evolutions are also coming in November. You'll be able to earn Mega Energy by walking with your Buddy Pokemon if you've Mega Evolved a Pokemon in its line.
