Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem officially starts tomorrow, adding plenty of new content to Respawn's battle royale game. The PlayStation 5 launch title Bugsnax from developer Young Horses is selling extremely well, it appears. Co-founder and president of the studio, Philip Tibitoski, revealed on Twitter that Bugsnax has already exceed the launch sales of the studio's previous game, Octodad, despite Bugsnax being free for PlayStation Plus subscribers for a good amount of time."The team at Young Horses is so grateful for everyone's support," Tibitoski said.Bugsnax has been out for a few months now, and it's wild that even after being free for PS5 PS+ users for most of that time it has outsold Octodad's launch PS sales. Actor Dustin Diamond, best known for his portrayal of a lovable nerd on popular '90s NBC sitcom Saved by the Bell, has died in hospice according to TMZ. It was recently revealed in mid-January that Diamond had been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. At that time, he was taken to a Florida hospital a few days after reportedly feeling unwell.Diamond came to fame with his role of Samuel "Screech" Powers on Saved by the Bell--the role of best friend and sidekick to the show's main character and offered comic relief as a kind-hearted geek. The 2018 God of War is getting a free PS5 upgrade, and it's coming extremely soon. Starting tomorrow, February 2, you can download the patch for the enhanced version, which gives the game a nice graphical upgrade.According to a blog, the PS4 Pro lets you choose between performance or resolution. The impending patch will replace that option with one a new default that offers both. It will run at 60 FPS in 4K checkerboard resolution at 2160p. The roster of Disney+ streaming MCU TV shows just keeps getting bigger. Director Ryan Coogler and his production company Proximity Media have entered a five year deal with Disney to develop future projects in addition to Coogler's upcoming Black Panther 2 feature film, Deadline reports. Apex Legends Season 8 launches on February 2, and it's bringing a brand new battle pass to the game, along with the grenade-oriented new character Fuse. A new trailer shows off some of the loot you can claim as part of that new battle pass, and fans of Lifeline and Bangalore aren't going to be disappointed.If you're in it for the skins, the two main attractions here are the Lifeline Legendary skin Bad to the Bone and the Bangalore Legendary skin Radical Action. Those unlock at level 25 and 50 respectively. The DMR X-1 Reactive Longbow is the reward for hauling it all the way to level 100, so if you're big on sniper rifles, you can start counting levels.Other rewards in the pass include new music packs, loading screens, quips, and the fan-favorite skydive emotes. Sega and developer RGG Studio announced that they are re-releasing Judgment--the Yakuza series spinoff that first launched in 2019 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive--for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Stadia. The game will be remastered with "refined visuals" and will run at 60 fps to take advantage of the new hardware. You also won't have to wait long; this new version is set to launch on April 23 this year for $39.99 USD.Judgment takes place in the same universe as the Yakuza franchise but tells an entirely separate story from the mainline games. While it uses the familiar setting of Kamurocho and incorporates a few recognizable elements, such as the Tojo Clan and crime drama, you won't need an extensive Yakuza background to enjoy it. You play as a Takayuki Yagami, a disgraced lawyer turned private detective who uncovers a much larger conspiracy--it's a gripping story with a different tone from the Yakuza games but still has the same storytelling qualities.The game plays much like previous Yakuza games with action brawler combat, however Yagami is a lot more acrobatic and it influences the way he fights. And Kamurocho is again a lively open city full of side quests and minigames to fill out the world.
