Microsoft and Mojang have announced that Minecraft Dungeons is getting new DLC and a free update later this month, and both are going to add some interesting stuff to the game. The paid DLC is called Flames of the Nether, and it will take players to that lava-filled core, where they will take on the toughest challenges in the game yet.The DLC will add six new missions, as well as two skins and a Baby Ghast pet. On the free side of things, the upcoming update will add Ancient Hunts to the game, a new feature that introduces procedurally-generated endgame missions that take place both in and out of the Nether. It sounds like this is the only way that players can get the best gear in the game--the so-called Gilded tier--so die-hards will definitely want to check that out. You'll also receive a new currency called Gold, which can be traded with a merchant in your camp.Both the free update and the Flames of the Nether DLC will come to Minecraft Dungeons on February 24. No price has been announced for the DLC, but it'll probably be $6 like the previous packs. That's the premise of The Bridge, the new reality show heading for HBO Max next week, as explained in the first trailer.Narrated by James McAvoy (Split, X-Men: First Class), The Bridge is described as a "social experiment bringing together 12 strangers from all over the United Kingdom." There's a prize of €100.000 waiting on an island 300 meters away. Competitors will receive a few basic tools and some supplies, but otherwise are on their own and must reach the island within 21 days. The contestants have to work together, but only one contestant can walk away with the money.The show is based off a Spanish show called El Puente--literally "The Bridge"--which ran for two seasons in Spain. We've seen countless reality shows come and go, but there's a case for absurd reality shows from other countries doing well here in the west. Survivor began life in the late '90s in Sweden as Expedition Robinson before heading over here and turning into a monstrous success. The Masked Singer made its way from South Korea to find big ratings in the United States, too. Electronic Arts will decide the fate of Anthem in the near future, according to a report. The publisher will supposedly make a call on whether the campaign to reboot Anthem after its disappointing launch is still worth the effort or if it should be scrapped altogether.According to Bloomberg, EA executives plan to review the latest version of Anthem this week. The project to revamp Anthem is currently being worked on by 30 people, but developer BioWare supposedly needs closer to 90 in order to finish reworking Anthem's original gameplay and also add new content. So EA has to decide whether to invest that time and resources.Anthem had a rocky launch--the game released with bugs that crashed PS4s, a section of the campaign that required unenjoyable farming, an update that briefly broke the game, and an unsatisfying loot acquisition loop. We got our kicks in early this year when Cobra Kai Season 3, the latest in the adventures of Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso, hit Netflix on New Years' Day, and the show is doing well for Netflix, according to ratings tracking firm Nielsen.Nielsen released the latest ratings for streaming shows this week, covering the week of January 4 to January 10. Cobra Kai tops the list with viewers watching 2.1 billion minutes worth of nostalgic martial arts action in that period. Bridgerton followed with 1.6 billion hours. The list for that period is dominated almost entirely by Netflix.
