Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury has arrived on Nintendo Switch, and a day one update for the game is now live. It appears to be a very minor one, however. The new trailer for Hulu's time-loop action movie Boss Level has been released. The film stars Frank Grillo as a man trapped in a loop that sees him killed every day, and it debuts on Hulu on March 5.Grillo's character is a former special forces agent who wakes up every morning to find himself under attack by a variety of heavily-armed assassins. This latest trailer shows that, in true Groundhog Day-style, Grillo has repeated the same day so many times that he knows exactly what to do to stay alive, which means some funny moments as he nonchalantly makes coffee while dodging flying bullets. An evil colonel played by Mel Gibson seems to be behind the loop, so Grillo sets about trying to stop him. Game designer Josef Fares, who led the development teams at Hazelight on Brothers, A Way Out, and It Takes Two, isn't sold on the idea of subscription services like Xbox Game Pass. Speaking to Polygon, Fares said he's scared about "the Netflix system" in the context of games because he isn't sure how one very important piece comes together: How do developers get paid?"I'm not really sure if the Netflix system will work with games; I'm not sure how that's going to work in the long-term [...] The only thing that scares me a little bit is that if you have a system where... How do you get paid? Zawe Ashton (Velvet Buzzsaw, Doctor Who) has reportedly been cast in Captain Marvel 2, according to Deadline. Disney and Marvel Studios have not yet issued an official statement, but Deadline is indicating via unnamed sources that the actor will co-star as the film's villain.Captain Marvel 2 is due out November 11, 2022 as part of Marvel Phase 4. So, it's no surprise that details have been pretty sparse overall on the film since it wasn't even clear until recently that this sequel would even exist. While theatres continue to get ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic, the moviegoing industry is also paying attention to the federal government's moves. With Congress pushing to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, the theatre industry strongly opposes the plan.According to Variety, executives within the moviegoing business claim that the increase to the minimum wage would "kill" the theatre industry, arguing that it's not sustainable for business. It's worth noting that big chains like AMC and Regal keep only about 50% of the money they take from ticket sales each year, while smaller theatres keep roughly 40% of their ticket sales."That would kill us," said Byron Berkley, owner of Foothills Entertainment in Kilgore, Texas. "We couldn't justify raising our admission prices and concession prices to compensate for that kind of increase and still expect people to patronize the business. It would be disastrous."
