Pokemon is officially celebrating its 25th anniversary next week, but Nintendo is kicking off the festivities early with a variety of new merch, events, and more. The latest collaboration is with apparel brand Levi's, so if you're looking to add some new Pokemon gear to your wardrobe, now's a great time to do so. The Levi's x Pokemon collection launched online and in stores today, offering a variety of jeans, shirts, jackets, and accessories that feature Gen 1 Pokemon and characters in their classic styles. To be honest, I was super skeptical when I first saw the teaser images for this collection back in January, but now that the full line of Pokemon apparel has been revealed, some of it's actually pretty cute. There's an adorable Jigglypuff beanie (which I bought right away), a white tee featuring a very sleepy Pikachu napping on the Levi's logo, and even a mini Psyduck clip-on bag that's already sold out online. The collection also pays homage to the original anime, including a T-shirt that features Ash and Misty with their Poke Balls at the ready. You can even pick up Misty's tank top and shorts and cosplay the iconic water trainer. Strangely, Brock doesn't make an appearance in the collection--did you forget the original gang was a trio, Levi's?Of course, there are denim jackets and jeans available as well, including two vintage-style trucker jackets with matching jeans. The first jacket-jean combo has a green foresty pattern with various Gen 1 Pokemon printed on it, while the second pair is slightly more understated, featuring light wash denim with lightning bolts on the sleeves and a fierce-looking Pikachu on the thigh. Each jacket and pair of jeans is available to buy separately. There are also multiple pairs of jeans that you can customize with a more subtle Pokemon pattern.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Riot has revealed some of the social changes that will soon come to the multiplayer shooter Valorant, and they're the sort of changes that fans have been asking for for a while now. These upcoming tweaks will target patches 2.04 and 2.05, and will focus on punishing AFKers and other undesirable player behavior. The meat of the changes will target AFK players and "AFK-type behavior." As a 5-on-5 shooter, losing a single teammate can make or break a Valorant match, and it's clear that Riot is trying to do something about it. Patch 2.04 will implement a new system that will improve detection of AFKers, and the penalty structure for that behavior has been completely overhauled.Essentially, the new system will track your behavior holistically, meaning that players who drop due to intermittent internet issues won't get much of a penalty at all. However, those players who go AFK in the middle of games will be hit with increasingly stringent punishments, including queue restrictions, ranked rating reductions, or even an outright ban.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A highly detailed series of fake additions to the Left 4 Dead wiki has inspired fan-art and even a mod that puts the nonexistent content into the game. The vandalism focuses on a bizarre character called "Purple Francis," a poorly recolored version of one of the game's four Survivors. The vandal cooked up a surprisingly thorough backstory for Purple Francis, including his untimely death in a comic book, described by the article as a "national tragedy."Someone vandalized the Left 4 Dead wiki, for seemingly no reason, with an *extensive* article about a nonsensical nonexistent character called Purple Francis, including cross-referencing him on other pages on the wiki pic.twitter.com/XixF7VCSpq — 🏴i open up my wallet and it's full of blood.🏴 (@thinkiamsad) February 14, 2021According to the articles, Purple Francis's purple hue was caused by an iron-rich diet. Prior to Left 4 Dead, he owned a root beer factory and sired two sons, Cungulus and Skibbity. Though the wiki's moderators sadly deleted Purple Francis's page, a mod on Left 4 Dead 2's Steam Workshop page will add Purple Francis to the game, which the mod's author labels as "cut L4D content." There's also a Discord page to join if you're a true Purple Francis enthusiast.btw i downloaded the mod and he looks like jelly pic.twitter.com/WK1DsDBrvv — Jett™ (@jettstranded) February 14, 2021While there's no word on the state of the Left 4 Dead franchise, the game recently got its first official patch in nearly a decade. Though the patch came from Valve, it was primarily built by more than 30 members of the game's community. A spiritual successor called Back 4 Blood is currently being made by many of the game's original developers.Info from Gamespot.com

Fortnite's 15.40 update is just around the corner, and it's going to bring some interesting changes to the game. As with all Fortnite updates, it's not precisely clear what the patch is going to do, but we have a few hints from the game's official Twitter account. The patch is set to go live on February 16.According to the below tweets, it appears that popular limited-time modes Air Royale and Floor is Lava will be making a comeback. The patch will also allow you to adjust object level of detail in the Perf Mode alpha, but only on PC. Additionally, characters will have more exotics in stock for you to grab. Let's just hope the opposing teams won't get there first.Knock knock. 🚪The v15.40 update is scheduled to release on February 16. Downtime for the update will begin at approx. 4 AM ET (09:00 UTC). pic.twitter.com/W54TynVlZQ — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) February 15, 2021v15.40 brings:✅Blast back with an unvaulted favorite!✅Fun for the whole squad! Characters will have more Exotics in stock for allies (or enemies) to acquire.✅LTMs coming soon: Air Royale ✈️+ Floor is Lava 🌋✅Adjust object/build level of detail in PC Perf Mode alpha — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) February 15, 2021The above tweet also references an "unvaulted favorite." Based on context clues, it's likely either pump shotguns or an explosive weapon. Then again, the "knock knock" phrasing in the first tweet has led some to think that the Flint-Knock Pistol might be making a comeback, too. We'll know for sure when the patch comes out on February 16.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Avengers: Endgame had a lot going on. This isn't news to anyone--the MCU Phase 3 finale was responsible for wrapping up a whole slew of character threads and plotlines as many of Marvel Studios' A-list stars finished their contracts and stepped aside from their decade-long commitments as major characters in the franchise. For some, like Tony Stark, this meant dying in an extremely straightforward way. For others, like Steve Rogers, things were significantly more convoluted. In case you need a refresher, the ending of Steve Rogers' journey in the MCU involved time traveling back to the 1940s to finally get that dance he was promised with Peggy Carter way back in Captain America: The First Avenger. Then, after apparently having led a full life entirely off screen, he comes back to the present to hand off the shield to Sam Wilson and, presumably, either go back to his life in the past or, you know, die or something. We can't really say. Written out in so few words, it might actually sound kind of straightforward--the whole "go back in time to reconnect with a lost love" trope happens on the semi-regular, after all--but Endgame's own internal time travel logic (and Steve Rogers' story through the other six MCU movies he was in before Endgame) provoked some big questions about timeline paradoxes and basic character development.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Valheim is one of PC gaming's most recent runaway successes, having sold 2 million copies in a little under two weeks since its February 2 launch. But whether or not the early access multiplayer fantasy survival game will eventually come to consoles is a question now on people's minds. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear the game will be coming to consoles like PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch anytime soon.According to a FAQ page on Valheim's official website, developer Iron Gate AB mentioned that "there are no plans to release on other platforms" as of the post's writing--which was updated last on January 18, 2021. However, the developer wrapped up its response by confirming that it wouldn't rule out the possibility of console versions in the future. So, if you're hungry to play Valheim but don't own a PC, it looks like you'll have to wait a while. It's also worth noting that--if it ends up coming to consoles--until the game leaves early access, it's unlikely you'll see Valheim come to PlayStation and Nintendo platforms. On the other hand, Valheim could end up on Xbox sooner than later, given that platform's Game Preview program.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Developer Psyonix has released a new patch for Rocket League. The patch isn't all that big--outside of some bug fixes, the patch really only adds a new two-factor authentication mandate for in-game trading."Starting with v1.93, players that want to participate in player-to-player trading must have [two-factor authentication] enabled on their Epic Games account," Psyonic writes in the full patch notes, which are listed below. With two-factor authentication enabled, you'll have to authenticate your Epic Games account through a separate service, like your cell phone number or personal email, in order to confirm your identity.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

In Valheim, you're likely to want to tame wild boars. After all, when you first find the stone message that implies it's possible to do so, how could you not want to work toward becoming a Viking beastmaster? Fortunately, taming boars is incredibly useful in maintaining your survival too.Below we detail how to tame boards and what benefits doing so provides you. If you're more curious about general tips, be sure to check out our Valheim beginner's guide. Otherwise, read on!How To Tame And Breed BoarsBoars are easy enough to find and kill, but if you want to tame them, you'll need to do a few things first. To begin with, you’ll need to build a basic pen and make it large enough to hold several hogs. Though try not to place the pen anywhere near torches, as boars are afraid of fire and won't want anything to do with you if you've got them around.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

HBO is hard at work on Game of Thrones spinoffs, that much we know. How many and which ones--that question is a bit tougher to answer. HBO's Chief Creative Officer Casey Bloys, though, offered up a bit of new info on what we can expect from the future of Game of Thrones in a new interview with TVLine."We know George [R. R. Martin] has this incredible work with all of this really rich and complicated history and all of these characters," Bloys said. "So we've been trying to be thoughtful about what are the stories that are worth telling. What would be exciting? What would fans love?"We know that HBO is gearing up for full production on the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon. That story covers the rise of House Targaryen, with King Viserys Targaryen as one of the story's most prominent characters. What else is on tap?Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League is imminent, another of Snyder's superhero projects is getting another look. Snyder is in the process of remastering Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to restore it to its IMAX aspect ratio. Snyder confirmed this week that the remaster will be available on Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray (via ComicBook)."I just approved the Blu-ray box the other day, so for sure it will exist on Blu-ray, and then I think it will exist on HBO Max," Snyder told the I Minutemen YouTube channel in a new interview. "I have to confirm now, but for sure we've been talking about the release. It's meant to, especially for the special edition, it's to replace the one that was kind of messed up a little bit. The Blu-ray, I think, was okay. The 4K was [messed up]."Snyder commented that he'd watched the movie on "Apple movies or wherever it was," and noticed that the "reds were all blocked up." Red blocking and banding are common problems that can be attributed to incorrectly-mastered or compressed source material or to displays that don't have the color depth to show a smooth progression of certain colors, especially in red and black transitions.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Treyarch has released the latest update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and it affects several different game modes, including standard competitive multiplayer, Zombies, and League Play. If you were participating in League Play this weekend, you may need to think of a new strategy to replace your trusty RC-XD scorestreak. The RC-XD is restricted in League Play, meaning you'll want to come up with a new low-level alternative before you're caught off-guard by this change. Additionally, friendly fire has been changed slightly, converting to ricochet damage after the second team-kill and returning damage toward the attacker. Should you get two more team-kills, you will be kicked from the match. Of course, you're a good, clean player. You weren't killing your own teammates, anyway ... right?Other changes include fixing an issue on the Express map that would let you capture a Hardpoint zone without actually being inside it, and tweaking some UI problems. In Zombies, you also shouldn't be teleported out of the map when others use it in the Village area, nor will you be able to stand on the crafting table. Check out the full patch notes from Treyarch below and make sure you don't miss out on the Double Weapon XP weekend currently running.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
