Apple TV+'s summer show Schmigadoon! features stars Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key as a couple who are backpacking and finds themselves in a town that looks like a musical from the 1940s--and that includes people in the town singing for no reason. And they can't leave until they find their true love. While the show features many people singing, not every character on the show is a singer. Key's character hates musicals and the actor had to hold back during the series because according to creator Cinco Paul, he's a good singer. "We were constantly telling him to hold back," Paul explained during the TCA winter press tour Apple TV+ presentation. "He just wanted to burst into song constantly and we just said, 'Keegan, no.'""It's one of the greatest acting challenges of my career," Key said, joking about having to to pull back a little and not sing--having to remain completely perplexed why the townspeople around him can't stop singing.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A weekly challenge in Destiny 2 will be changed after fans alerted Bungie that the title shares a namesake with a slogan from the Hitler Youth. Bungie quickly issued an apology, saying it was "completely unintentional" and promising to change the name in a future patch.Kotaku reports that the challenge is called "Blood and Honor," part of the new Season of the Chosen. The name is a translation of the German phrase "Blut und Ehre," a slogan favored by the Nazi youth organization and currently used by a British neo-Nazi group. Destiny players raised the issue on social media, prompting the response from Bungie."Any connection to anti-Semitism in Destiny is completely unintentional," the company said in a statement. "Bungie is emphatically committed to inclusion and human rights, and will never stand for anti-Semitism. We are already preparing fixes in an upcoming patch. We apologize to all of our players that were hurt by the references, and we are grateful to our community for bringing their concerns to our attention."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Edgar Wright (Baby Driver, Scott Pilgrim vs the World) will reportedly be directing a new adaptation of The Running Man, according to Deadline. No casting announcements or production start dates have yet been announced. The Running Man was originally a novel published in 1982 by Stephen King, under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. The book was previously loosely adapted in 1987 into a dystopian sci-fi action movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This new version from Wright will not be a remake, but another crack at reimagining the novel. Wright will co-write the story with Michael Bacall (21 Jump Street), with the latter writing the script.According to Deadline, the reason why in 2021 a 1982 novel is getting another movie adaptation is reporetedly because Wright was given carte blanche back in 2017 to "remake any film," and it's taken years for the deal to come together. That said, the original novels' themes of a world where the lanes merge between politics and pop culture has arguably never felt more timely.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Blizzard detailed its plans for the upcoming year of Hearthstone content at BlizzConline 2021, starting with the next expansion, Forged in the Barrens. This will be the first expansion of the new annual rollover, which this time has been dubbed the Year of the Gryphon. The Barrens expansion will take place in the Horde stronghold of Kalimdor and include a new keyword. Plus it's coming alongside some major changes to the underlying mechanics of Hearthstone more broadly. As usual, Forged in the Barrens will add 135 new cards to collect. This time the cards will feature a new keyword, Frenzy. Similar to the recent Spellburst effect, this is a one-time trigger, but it activates the first time a Frenzy minion survives damage. (That means that if your opponent kills it in one shot, the Frenzy effect won't trigger). And in a wink to the fans, there's even a Mankrik card, who is naturally seeking his wife. The set will also add 10 legendary "Mercenary" characters, as part of a year-long narrative. Those likely tie into the new Mercenaries mode, to be coming later this year.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Some foundational parts of class identity, like the Mage's Fireball and Paladin's Tirion Fordring, are remaining untouched. Others, like Deathwing the Destroyer, have been updated from their original versions but keep the same essential functionality. And some, like Vanessa VanCleef, are entirely new.Unlike the traditional way of opening Classic packs to fill out your collection, the Core set will be free for all players. During BlizzConline 2021, Blizzard debuted a new trailer for Diablo IV. The trailer reveals the Rogue class, which will be included in the upcoming action-RPG at launch. In the new trailer, you can see the Rogue joining the other three available starting classes--Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid--around a campfire. Just a group of adventurers being homies.Like the other three, the Rogue class has been included in the Diablo franchise before. However, unlike the other three classes, the Rogue is one of the original character classes, existing alongside Warrior and Sorcerer in 1997's Diablo. The Rogue hasn't been seen since--it wasn't included in Diablo II or Diablo III. The fifth class in Diablo IV has yet to be revealed.Gallery The Rogue is a dexterity-based character class, with a versatile skill tree that allows you to master both melee and ranged attacks, as well as abilities that let you set traps or use shadow magic. So it sounds less like the original Rogue class and more like Diablo III's Demon Hunter class, which is really just a loose combination of Diablo II's Amazon and Assassin classes.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
