Amazon's streaming service Prime Video has a pretty solid March in store for viewers. While Coming 2 America, the sequel to the hit 1988 comedy Coming to America, is something of the centerpiece for the month's new content, there also lots of great programming in store for fans of those kinds of classic '80s comedies.First off, Coming 2 America is landing on Prime Video on March 3. The film, having been delayed from a theatrical release in December, has been a long time coming for fans of the original. Blizzard has big plans for Hearthstone in 2021. The Year of the Gryphon will introduce three new expansions, each with its own mini-expansion, formulating a year-long narrative starring an all-new cast of characters. The underlying structure of the game will undergo a massive shift too, with the introduction of the Core set and new spell schools. During an official Twitch stream, the creative director of Doom Eternal said that adding a female protagonist to the series was something that the developers at id Software had discussed. However, Hugo Martin said that the studio decided that they'd like to do it in a way that would have an actual effect on gameplay, rather than simply reskinning the game's Doom Slayer protagonist to be a woman.“Tonally, when it comes to designing the action, you think about, ‘if The Slayer is a Ferrari, then what would a female Slayer be? What would a Medieval slayer be?’" Martin said, according to VGC. "How would that affect things and what sort of analogies would you draw from that to allow it to influence the experience? It definitely would be cool.”While a controllable female character would be a new feature in the Doom series, it wouldn't be a first for id Software's games. Blizzard has reiterated publicly that it will not repeat the mistake of Warcraft 3: Reforged with Diablo 2: Resurrected, meaning that the remaster will not replace Diablo 2 in any way, shape, or form. Lead designer Rob Gallerani said that Resurrected will "absolutely not" overwrite existing Diablo 2 installs. Blizzard previously told GameSpot this information during BlizzCon."Everything you have about D2 currently will stay D2," Gallerani said, per Eurogamer. "This is a separate product, separate game. Pokemon Go's next season of content kicks off on March 1, developer Niantic has announced. This season is dubbed the Season of Legends, and it introduces new Legendary Pokemon, as well as new Mega Evolutions, Special Research, and more.During the Season of Legends, the Therian forms of Landorus, Tornadus, and Thundurus will make their debut in Pokemon Go, making this the first time these forms will be available in the mobile game. Niantic also teases that "some other Legendary faces" will also arrive in Pokemon Go during the new season.Additionally, new Mega-Evolved Pokemon will debut in the game during the season. Niantic has not yet announced which Pokemon these will be, but they'll be appearing "over the course of the season." Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Mario update arrives on February 25, and it introduces a line of Mushroom Kingdom furniture and clothing to the Switch life sim. Perhaps the most intriguing addition is the warp pipe, which lets you travel quickly between two points around your island, and Nintendo has now shared some more details on how this works.As the company first revealed during the February 2021 Nintendo Direct, you can purchase a pair of warp pipes from Nook Shopping once the Mushroom Kingdom items go on sale and place them at two different points around your island. Once the two pipes are set, you can hop into one to travel between the two locations quickly. This works even if one of the warp pipes is placed inside your house.If you have more than two pipes placed around your island, your warp location will be chosen randomly. Developer Team Cherry has released a new update for Hollow Knight on PC, the first that the game has gotten since 2018. The update has been released in beta while Team Cherry monitors the effects of the changes, so none of the bug fixes are permanent yet.In the full patch notes, Team Cherry writes that the update's main purpose is to improve the Unity version of Hollow Knight. The Simpsons announced last summer that the show was in for a casting shakeup, as white actors would no longer be voicing characters of color on the show, including characters like Apu, Carl, and Dr. Hibbert. The new Dr. Julius Hibbert has been cast, according to Deadline; Kevin Michael Richardson will play the character moving forward, replacing actor Harry Shearer for the role. He'll take over the role starting with the episode scheduled to air on Sunday, February 28, 2021.Richardson is a veteran voice actor with over 30 years and over 500 credits to his name. He's voiced characters in the DC and Marvel universes, as well as Star Wars, Transformers, Mortal Kombat, Family Guy, and many others. He also has 76 episodes of the Simpsons under his belt, going back as far as 2009.Actor Harry Shearer began voicing Dr. Hibbert when he debuted over 30 years ago, and also plays--and will continue to play--other primary characters including Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner, and Mr. Burns. Disney is hoping to bring its theme parks to life in a brand new way with a project reportedly in the works at Disney+. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the man behind 2004's Battlestar Galactica reboot and For All Mankind, Ron Moore, is developing a Magic Kingdom franchise for the streaming service.The first project in the works as part of the so-called Magic Kingdom Universe is The Society of Explorers and Adventurers, a fictional organization developed as part of the mythology of Disney's parks around the world. SEA was first created for Japan's Tokyo DisneySea to give a richer backstory to certain attractions. However, nods to the group of characters can now be found at a variety of Disney parks, as well as on the cruise line.Per THR, the series would explore certain Disney parks characters and be set in a reality where the various themed lands of the parks--and the people in them--are real. The potential future for the Marvel Cinematic Universe experienced a Big Bang-level of expansion when Disney acquired the library and licenses of 20th Century Fox in 2019. The move brought many of Marvel's wayward children back into the fold, including the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Marvel has a host of announced movies in preparation, but news slipped out over the weekend that a well-known actress was heading to Australia to "film the latest Fantastic Four film." Respawn has extended the Anniversary Collection Event for Apex Legends by another week. So instead of ending on February 23, the limited-time event will continue until March 2 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.As a result, you now have seven extra days to unlock the event's limited-time rewards. A new season of FX's Mayans MC is only weeks away. The third season of the Sons of Anarchy sequel series launches March 16 and now, thanks to the first full trailer for the upcoming episodes, we have some idea of what to expect--and it's going to get messy after that Season 2 cliffhanger that left a Sons of Anarchy member dead.To get you up to speed, given that it's been well over a year since the last new episode, Season 2 of Mayans MC ended with the titular motorcycle club shooting up the house of a rival gang, inadvertently killing a member of SAMCRO, the flagship charter of the Sons of Anarchy club. The face of the murdered member isn't shown. However, the Mayans members that carried out the attack react in a way to make it clear this is going to have major ramifications moving forward.Now, in the trailer, which you can see below, things seem more dire than ever. After being fully patched into the Mayans crew, EZ (JD Pardo) is becoming darker and more violent, as he's seen senselessly beating somebody while the rest of the club watches on. Crimson Heist adds Flores as a brand-new attack operator, and implements several quality of life and balancing changes.Depending on where you play, you'll have very different download sizes. On Steam, the update is 6GB, while the update is 19GB on Uplay. In terms of content, most of the update is filled with bug fixes, as seen in the full patch notes.In terms of balancing, the update addresses Nøkk's utility against entrenched defenders. Now, when Nøkk's unique gadget, the HEL Presence Reduction, is active, Nøkk will no longer trip any defender gadgets that are proximity-based. One legendary character, I-No, is returning for Guilty Gear Strive. She's supremely confident in her own abilities, and based on what we've seen from her so far, that confidence is warranted. Arc System Works made the announcement during a special fighting game developer roundtable, explaining what fans will see when the time-travelling, guitar-wielding witch returns. In the new gameplay and announcement trailer, we get to see I-No in action, her guitar in hand as she delivers furious kicks. At one point, she ducks under a projectile attack and delivers a devastating uppercut to punish, sending her opponent to the floor. I-No also has projectile attacks of her own that she can use to control space and keep her opponents from playing too defensively, and her counters should also keep her opponents from being too aggressive. You're between a rock and a hard place with I-No, but at least she can shred on the guitar for you as she's pummeling you into the ground.In addition to the reveal of I-No, Arc System Works also revealed during the developer livestream that Samuari Shodown and Guilty Gear will have a collaboration, which will come in the form of a guest character arriving in the former. Samurai Shodown has seen something of a resurgence with the latest game's release back in 2019.
