The sci-fi action game Defiance, which tied into the TV show of the same name, is closing down for good. Developer Trion Worlds has announced that the servers for Defiance and Defiance 2050 will close on April 29, 2021."This decision was not an easy one to make. "While we are discontinuing the games service, we will never forget the incredible journey we embarked on together. Electronic Arts and BioWare have decided to cease development on Anthem, following an internal review. In a statement, BioWare Austin studio head Christian Dailey says that the team has been working hard on its concepts for "Anthem NEXT," but the pandemic has had an impact on studio productivity."I know this will be disappointing to the community of Anthem players who have been excited to see the improvements we've been working on," Dailey said in the update. "It's also disappointing for the team who were doing brilliant work. The Mighty Ducks are skating back into action on the upcoming Disney+ original series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, but things are different this time.
