Microsoft has launched a new Xbox feature that lets you change your gamerpic to what it was back in the Xbox 360 days. Xbox Insiders who are part of the Alpha Skip Ahead program (which you can opt into at any time) can now select their Xbox 360 gamerpic from the "change gamerpic" screen. This may require a reboot, Xbox's Eden Marie said on Twitter (via Eurogamer). Also of note, it will only work if you had an Xbox 360 back then and had a gamerpic assigned. If, for whatever reason, you change your Xbox 360 gamerpic on that console, this will also apply to your new Xbox.Hey all, I know a bunch of you were asking for a way to go back to your Xbox 360 gamerpic. Exploration Time to the rescue! If you're an Alpha Skip Ahead Insider, you may need to reboot your console, but starting today you'll find a new option in your "change gamerpic" screen. pic.twitter.com/YWijIJR2HE — Eden Marie (@neonepiphany) September 21, 2021FYI, this will only show up if you've ever had an Xbox 360 gamerpic, and if your current gamerpic isn't already your Xbox 360 gamerpic. Once it's set, any future changes you make on an Xbox 360 console will automatically carry over. — Eden Marie (@neonepiphany) September 21, 2021This feature comes out of Microsoft's Exploration Time program, through which Xbox employees working on the Experiences team can take a half day each week to work on anything they want.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is an eSports pillar, and as such, players get used to how things are after a while. One of those many lessons learned is that going over to B site from CT Spawn on Dust 2 almost always meant taking some damage from T Spawn thanks to a nearly perfect line-of-sight. However, that era of CS:GO is now over, as the game's latest update has introduced some significant changes to the game, including a rework of its most popular map.On Twitter, CS:GO's developers showed off a brief look at some of the changes that are coming to Dust 2. You can find the video down below. We're adding new maps during the Operation and updating Ancient and Dust2. Here's a sneak peek at Dust2 changes: pic.twitter.com/2nCfoFktYi — CS:GO (@CSGO) September 22, 2021That's right; visibility from Dust 2's Terrorist spawn has seemingly been dramatically reduced, a change that shifts the entire balance of the map. The Counter-Terrorist team should now be able to rotate over to B site at the start of a map without worrying about getting headshot five seconds into a match. It's a massive change to one of Counter-Strike's most iconic maps and should change the way every round there starts out.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The next Fantastic Beasts installment, newly titled The Secrets of Dumbledore, will open in theaters on April 15, 2022. The third entry in the fantasy franchise was originally scheduled--after several delays--to release on July 15 of next year. Both of these developments were reported by Deadline. The film's official logline is as follows: "Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?"The film will see the returns of Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander and Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore. Johnny Depp was going to return as Grindelwald, but that is no longer the case, as has been widely reported and the cause of some internet drama. Madds Mikeelsen has stepped in to take over the role, and said earlier this year that it would be "creatively stupid" to try to copy Depp's performance.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Alan Wake Remastered might be headed to Nintendo Switch. Although developer Remedy has yet to announce it, the game has been rated for Nintendo Switch in Brazil. The country's Advisory Rating Board has published a listing for the game seen by VGC, suggesting an announcement might be on tap soon. This suggests, but does not confirm, that Alan Wake Remastered will come to Nintendo Switch. While Brazil's ratings board has indeed leaked the existence of many real games in the past, we don't know for sure if it's the genuine article. Sometimes ratings board post listings erroneously, as was the case when PEGI listed Borderlands 3 for Nintendo Switch.A spokesperson for Alan Wake Remastered publisher Epic Games declined to comment when approached by VGC. Remedy, too, has not yet made a statement about the possibility of Alan Wake Remastered coming to Switch.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

This year's installment of American Horror Story divides the season in half in order to tell two separate stories--hence the "Double Feature" subtitle. Now in Season 10, splitting American Horror Story into two parts seemed a bit bizarre, but as we come towards the close of part one, it's the smartest decision the show could have made. Most seasons of American Horror Story hit a bump in the road halfway through as characters get lost or new ideas/concepts are introduced late in the game. In Season 6--Roanoke--American Horror Story flipped the script by having the people who were dramatically reenacting the events on the TV show within a TV show, My Roanoke Nightmare, spend three days in the actual Roanoke haunted house. The final two episodes of the season revolved around fans of the My Roanoke Nightmare TV show and three other TV docuseries visiting the house. Yes, it's that bizarre and convoluted. While the concept of Season 6 of American Horror Story was brilliant, it was apparent that the story lost a lot of steam.Your first taste. Watch the OFFICIAL TRAILER for #AHSDoubleFeature Part 1 now. Premieres 8.25 FX, next day #FXonHulu. #AmericanHorrorSummer pic.twitter.com/w9j5aqjYW6 — AmericanHorrorStory (@AHSFX) August 13, 2021There are bumps in the roads like this in most seasons. The issue at hand isn't so much what people considered "filler episodes," though. There is typically one of these episodes per season, which dives into the backstories of a main character to help give viewers a better understanding of what is going on in the world. Those are more than welcome. Instead, the issue tends to be when American Horror Story flips the script in the latter half of the season, adding something major to the plot, leaving too much for writers and production to juggle, which leads to characters getting forgotten about or ignored and loose ends to stay loose. Remember when Season 2 ("Asylum") introduced aliens into the mix, even though it was completely unnecessary?Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The long-awaited decision in the Apple vs. Epic case has been handed down, with a judge deciding that Apple must allow developers to offer alternative payment methods. But Epic Games is not celebrating the decision, and Fortnite is not coming back to the App Store soon, if it ever does. The latest development in this matter came on September 21, when Apple is said to have informed Epic that Fortnite would be banned on iOS until all court appeals are exhausted.Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney blasted the decision on Twitter, saying it is not a win for developers or consumers. He went on to say that Fortnite will only return to the iOS App Store "when and where Epic can offer in-app payment in fair competition with Apple in-app payment, passing along the savings to consumers.""We will fight on," Sweeney added.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Reports circulated earlier this year of a looming threat to PlayStation 4 consoles, one involving the console's internal clock battery that, if left unchecked, had the potential to essentially brick millions of PS4s. That issue looks to have now been fixed, thanks to PS4 firmware update 9.0.The issue stemmed from the console's internal clock being tied to playing games and unlocking trophies. When playing a game, the PS4 checks the internal clock to make sure it hasn't been tampered with, before allowing the game to be played. This is done to prevent players from changing dates to make it look as if trophies were unlocked earlier than they actually were. However, if the CMOS battery powering the clock dies and the PS4 isn't connected to the internet, the PS4 console has no way to check that internal clock, and the result makes it so the console is unable to play games whatsoever.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
