Destiny 2's latest patch has gone live, bringing with it a few new changes to Bungie's RPG-shooter across multiple areas of the game. One of the biggest changes in Hotfix 3.3.0.3 is directed at the Trials of Osiris, the pinnacle PvP mode that returned earlier this month.While a number of changes have revitalized the multiplayer mode, the latest tweak will now ensure that special ammo is a rare resource again. Call of Duty: Warzone received updates today to make the Iron Trials '84 mode tougher, and developer Raven Software detailed bug fixes and weapon balancing in the September 23 patch notes.Iron Trials '84 ChangesWarzone's new hardcore battle royal experience has a few changes, with some set to make the mode an even greater challenge and reward high-tier players. Iron Trials '84's cash rewards for Contracts have been reduced for all four Contract types. The armor satchel, gas mask, and self-revive item drop rates have also been reduced.Additionally, the Specialist Token has been added as an item that can be purchased from the Buy Stations. However, this sounds like it will be a pretty expensive item to purchase in a mode that already rewards less cash. Raven Software says, "We suspect very few people will be able to say they’ve purchased a Specialist Token. However, we do feel there is an opportunity to provide high tier Players with additional impactful outlets for their hard earned resources. Halo Infinite's Big Team Battle maps will have "loot caves" that players can enter to score extra-powerful weapons and abilities to get an advantage on the battlefield.As part of the latest Halo Infinite multiplayer showcase, senior multiplayer designer Fernando Reyes Medina showed off one of these loot caves on the Fragmentation map. Players can use their personal AI to hack the loot cave, and once inside, they'll find powerful weapons and abilities. In the gameplay video, Reyes picks up a Gravity Hammer and an Overshield, but presumably there could be other items in there, too.The loot cave--which is only an internal name for the feature--will respawn over time, Medina confirmed. It looks like a neat little sub-objective for Halo Infinite BTB that will require some skill and strategy, too, as players must protect their AI for the time it takes to hack into the cave. Diablo II: Resurrected is now live, but it is unfortunately suffering from online stability issues. Following an earlier batch of maintenance, Blizzard has stated that it will take online servers down once again. This next batch of maintenance began at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET and is expected to last for 45 minutes. [Update: According to the most recent update from Blizzard's Rod Fergusson, servers should be back online, but the developer is continuing to monitor the situation.]Players have reported being unable to create new characters or log in to existing ones. Disco Elysium: The Final Cut arrives on Nintendo Switch on October 22, Nintendo announced during today's Nintendo Direct. At launch, the game will only be available to purchase digitally on the eShop. A physical edition for Switch is slated to launch in early 2022.Disco Elysium was first released back in 2019, and we named it one of the year's best games. Following its PC-only release, the game was ported to PS4, PS5, and Stadia earlier this year alongside the launch of The Final Cut, an expanded version of the game. Ubisoft has confirmed that ray tracing will not available for Far Cry 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Ubisoft Team Lead Programmer Stephanie Brenham says that ray tracing would only be a feature on PC.In a statement to TechRadar, Ubisoft says, "Ray Tracing is a PC-only feature. On console, our objective has been to take advantage of new hardware capabilities, optimizing performance targeting 4K and achieving 60fps, for instance, all while ensuring that the experience on the previous generation of consoles would remain consistent."While it looks like Ubisoft wanted to take advantage of the new advanced hardware, the company also wanted to make sure that the PS4 and Xbox One versions would provide a similar experience. These messages correspond to the various houses in the village at the center of the game, most of which are covered in corruption that blocks your ability to enter them. It appears that in Halo Infinite's capture the flag mode vehicles can push the flag across the map, providing a new way to move the flag. In a short clip shared on Reddit, gameplay of capture the flag on the Behemoth map shows a player shoving the enemy flag with a ghost, moving it across the map to their own base, and eventually picking up the flag and scoring it.It's unclear from the clip if this is a bug or an intended feature. Capture the flag and the Behemoth map are both scheduled to be a part of the upcoming Halo Infinite tech test this weekend, so players will have the chance to test out this new feature if it is indeed supposed to be there.While, understandably, some fans feel that being able to shove the flag with a vehicle might be unbalanced, based on the clip it looks to be a little easier said than done. Plus, flag carriers can sit in the passenger seat of some vehicles, like the Warthog, which would still be faster than poking the flag along. There are other factors as well. For example, the map shown is a 4v4 arena map with vehicles. Not every 4v4 map has vehicles, so there will be matches of CTF without players shoving the flag along. She's sporting a slightly different look this time, with longer hair on her head, but she still makes use of her signature slowdown ability to deliver damage after dodging attacks. Bayonetta will also be able to summon giant monsters and have them do her bidding like some super-strong Pokemon master. Bayonetta 3 is coming in 2022, with original creator Hideki Kamiya acting as executive producer.Super Mario MovieShigeru Miyamoto made an appearance during the Nintendo Direct to share some exciting news that has nothing to do with a game: Illumination's animated Super Mario Bros. movie will be released in theaters on December 21, 2022, with Chris Pratt playing Mario. Anya Taylor-Joy will be playing Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad. In an unexpected move, Donkey Kong will also be in the movie and played by Seth Rogan.
