Godzilla vs. Kong opened in the United States on Wednesday, March 31, and it had the biggest opening ever during the pandemic in theaters. It made $9.6 million across the US on opening day.The film played on 2,409 screens across the country for its Wednesday premiere, the most for any movie on its opening day in the US during the pandemic. This should grow to 3,064 screens by Friday ahead of the weekend, according to Variety.Warner Bros. estimated that 94% of the US movie theater market is now open, though cinemas in many places are adhering to social distancing guidelines and limiting the number of tickets per screen. Hapless time-travellers Rick & Morty have been turned into babies as part of an April Fools' Day joke from Adult Swim. The network has reworked the opening titles of the hit animated show for younger viewers.For one day only, Adult Swim has rebranded itself as a kid-friendly version of the network titled Adult Swim Junior, and delivered the opening credits for the new show Rick & Morty Babies. And they went further than just a spoof credit sequence--they had an entire episode redubbed with kids' voices. Outriders officially released today for consoles, Stadia, and PC, and some players are seeing a bug that makes the login screen stuck when they try to start it up. People Can Fly is investigating the issue, but you can still play the game in the meantime if you're patient. And on PS5, there's an even more ingenious workaround. The issue occurs just as players are trying to sign into the game, hanging on a login screen instead of letting them play. The temporary fix to this? Just wait. Players who sat and waited for a few minutes were able to get it in, while someone else reported success by hitting the login button several times just before that screen appeared. One of our own here at GameSpot was able to get in by using the waiting method.On PS5, you also appear to be able to get around the issue by using the activity cards on the system's menu instead of entering the game the standard way. Since its reveal, Resident Evil Village fans have been drawn to the game's main antagonist, Lady Dimitrescu. And although she's not exactly the right height for the character--but who is?--it's difficult to argue that Russian Olympian Yekaterina Lisina hasn't produced the best cosplay for the character yet.At 6'9", Lisina isn't able to measure up to the 9'6" that Capcom says Lady Dimitresu is in-game, but she's probably the closest we'll get. Developer Platinum Games, the Japanese studio responsible for action titles like Bayonetta and Nier: Automata, is switching things up for its next project. The team is now working on Sol Cresta, a sequel to the 1985 shmup Terra Cresta.Platinum initially unveiled the game on April Fools' Day last year with a brief trailer. A year later, the studio delivered yet another trailer revealing Sol Cresta, this time confirming that the game is in development for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4. Despite the announcement date falling once again on April Fools' Day, the below trailer showcases some brief gameplay, as well as a 2021 release window.The project is in collaboration with Hamster Corporation, which filed a Sol Cresta trademark in February. A South Korean rating was also spotted, likely solidifying Sol Cresta as a real game. For Honor is usually a grim and bloody game pitting history's greatest warrior cultures against one another in brutal combat, but for a single day, it's about to get a whole lot more silly. Embracing the spirit of April Fool's Day, Ubisoft has added a new mode called Playgrounds Edition that is full of plastic swords, rainbows, and squeaky sound effects when an intimidating Viking is bashed on the head with a foam hammer. Microsoft has won a United States military contract worth up to $21.9 billion that will see the Xbox and Windows company build custom augmented-reality headsets for the US Army. Microsoft said in a blog post that it is creating a new Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) for the US Army based on its HoloLens and Azure cloud service technologies.Microsoft said the new device "delivers a platform that will keep soldiers safer and make them more effective." The programs running on the headsets offer "enhanced situational awareness" to help soldiers in a variety of ways. Anthony Ramos is in talks to star in the new Transformers movie. The Hamilton and Trolls World Tour star will take the lead role in the film, which will be directed by Creed II's Steven Caple Jr.According to Deadline, Ramos is in "final negotiations" to lead the next film in the Transformers franchise, which has been written by Joby Harold (John Wick Chapter 3, the upcoming Army of the Dead). The movie was announced in November last year, and Ramos has reportedly been the first choice to star since then. The site also states that Ramos has been testing with potential co-stars, including Kiki Layne (The Old Guard) and Dominque Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah).The film is one of two new Transformers movies in the works at Paramount. After rebalancing Stasis abilities in last month's major patch, this week's latest hotfix update for Destiny 2 focuses on a smaller number of issues that have begun cropping up. Destiny 2's latest Strike, Proving Grounds, will no longer see players take advantage of an out-of-bounds exploit during that level's boss fight. Bungie also noted that players will have to take on the Right of Proving from a more-even playing field. Here's the rundown on update 3.1.1.2.In the Crucible, an issue where Heavy ammo spawned under the Distant Shore map in several game modes has been addressed, and another issue plaguing players attempting to solve the glyph puzzles for the Xenophage Exotic quest chain has been fixed.
