Apple has announced that Mythic Quest will be getting another pandemic-era standalone special, according to a release. Like last year's special quarantine episode, the upcoming "Everlight" will not technically be considered part of the show's standard seasons. However, "Everlight" is set to air on Apple TV+ on April 16, making it a great lead-in to tide fans over until Season 2 finally kicks off on May 7.Directed by co-creator, executive producer, and star Rob McElhenney and written by star Ashly Burch, the episode "presents a relatable subject that people all over the world are currently facing--the return to offices and co-workers." In this new, half-hour special episode, "the team behind the biggest multiplayer video game" return for a LARPing tournament--which is probably exactly what we should all expect when we go back to our offices, except for the fact that Anthony Hopkins (Silence of the Lambs) is slated to appear in "Everlight." In a rare interview, comic actor Bill Murray says he was "outfoxed" and kinda-sorta tricked into making Ghostbusters 2. Speaking with Collider, Murray said he was "very, very reluctant" and "absolutely in no hurry" to follow up the smash hit 1984 supernatural comedy--but in the long run, has no regrets about going along with the 1989 sequel, Ghostbusters II."They got us all back together in a room, and really, we hadn't been together in a room since the [first] movie came out," said Murray. "It was just really, really fun to be together. We were really funny together… they got us all together and they pitched a story idea that was really great."Except, says Murray, what was previously pitched by director Ivan Reitman (Space Jam, Stripes) and Harold Ramis (Groundhog Day, SCTV) "ended up not being the story they wrote… they got us in the sequel under false pretenses." Bill Murray being Bill Murray, he says he and the rest of the cast "had to figure out how to make it work." Like critics, Murray says he ultimately liked the first Ghostbusters better than the second--"just because the first cut is the deepest."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A new story from The Hollywood Reporter has shed some light on Netflix's blockbuster deal to buy the Knives Out sequels. Additionally, each sequel needed to have a similar budget to the 2019 film, which was about $40 million, according to the report. In terms of how much money the key talent will make off the deal, THR said Johnson, Craig, and producer Ram Bergman will take home $100 million or more each. It's an exciting time for those deep into Among Us (or looking to get back into the game) since the new Airship map dropped just last week. The wildly popular social deduction game blew up relatively recently, and while it has sustained a massive following, it's been thriving off of three different maps for quite some time. The Airship affords the game a fresh experience for longtime players not just because it's new but also because it asks you to play quite differently from older maps. It's the largest map so far, but its tight corridors and handful of one-way paths make it a challenge to navigate. It's so big and labyrinthine that the game lets players choose one of three spawn points when they start a round in the match. Understanding what's around each of the spawn points becomes part of your strategy for both crewmates and imposters, and uncovering those intricacies has made figuring out the Airship so much fun.A key thing to notice about the map's spawn points is that when they're represented on screen for selection, the background of the icon shows you which part of the map it's in--eventually, you'll be familiar with the names and locations of these rooms, but for shorthand purposes, they're also ordered in a way that's indicative of their general location (left, middle, right). Crewmates should have tasks nearby right when the match starts, but as the match progresses, you'll want to keep in mind where your remaining tasks are.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

In addition to standard hunting and capture quests, Monster Hunter Rise introduces a new type of mission called Rampages. These quests crop up periodically and blend horde and tower defense elements, tasking you with defending your fort against several waves of rampaging monsters. They can also be among the game's most frustrating objectives, and while you can generally avoid most of them, you'll occasionally need to complete a Rampage to jump up to the next Hunter Rank. If you're having trouble, here's an overview of Rampage quests and some tips to help you clear them.Rampage Quest OverviewUnlike standard quests, which send you off to different locales, Rampages all occur within Kamura Village's stronghold. The overarching goal of these quests is to defend the fort's final gate by driving back the invading monsters. To help you defend the gate, you can place various installations around the stronghold. These fall into one of several categories. There are mountable installations such as ballistas and cannons; these can be manned by players and can fire different types of projectiles to repel monsters. There are also some "automatic" installations such as bamboo bombs; place these on the ground, and they'll detonate when a monster comes in contact with them, dealing severe damage.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Nintendo has announced a new battle royale-style Pac-Man game for Switch called Pac-Man 99. The title launches tomorrow, April 7, and much like Tetris 99, it will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. As with the aforementioned Tetris 99, Pac-Man 99 is a 99-player take on the classic arcade game. Each player will vie to be the last Pac-Man remaining as they navigate a maze and avoid the pursuing ghosts. Any ghosts that you defeat will be sent to other players' screens as a "Jammer Pac-Man." Bumping into one of these will reduce the player's movement speed, making them more vulnerable.Another new wrinkle in Pac-Man 99 is Sleeping Ghosts. As explained in the announcement trailer, chomping these ghosts will cause them to multiply and form a "ghost train," setting you up to chomp them all in one fell swoop after you grab a Power Pellet.
