Overwatch's Archives 2021 event is officially underway, with the usual round of cosmetic rewards for playing during the event period. While Archives events often focus on retro looks for the roster of playable heroes, this time they're extremely retro. Fortnite Season 6 introduced new wildlife such as raptors in last week's update, and this week adds a new way to do battle with them and others running around the island. The Recycler is a new weapon now available following the Fortnite 16.11 patch and it's just the thing you may want to equip if this season's dwindling ammo supply has you scrounging in the final few circles.Fortnite Recycler StatsThe Recycler, as its name suggests, doesn't need traditional ammo to fire. Instead, it uses materials such as wood, stone, and metal as projectiles that do considerable damage to opponents. It debuts in three variants, Rare, Epic, and Legendary (blue, purple, orange, if you prefer) and even its lowest-tiered variety does 75 damage to players, with that number increasing to 79 and 83 for each successive tier.It looks sort of like a leaf blower, only it instead vacuums up the materials around you as ammo. Nvidia has silently updated RTX Voice, its AI-powered noise removal tool, to work with its full range of graphics cards, including previous generation GTX and Quadro products.The change was a subtle one picked up by Tom's Hardware, and only present in the older RTX Voice application that Nvidia initially debuted this tech with. You can download the software and apply automatic noise removal to your audio recordings, which can greatly improve anything from your multiplayer musing to remote meetings or podcasts.RTX Voice is the older application of this technology, with support for the latest RTX GPUs being moved over to Nvidia Broadcast (a suite of tools that includes noise reduction, AI-powered webcam background removal, and more). A load of new information about the Mass Effect Legendary Edition has been revealed ahead of its May 14 launch. We learned about some of the changes coming to the trilogy, particularly the improvements made to the first Mass Effect.The original entry in the Mass Effect series, which launched in 2007, needed a lot of care, according to developer BioWare. So it's that title that the latest blog post on EA's site dives into, detailing how the studio improved the inventory, adjusted the M-35 Mako's handling, and removed weapon class restrictions.The Mako Isn't As Floaty, Sort OfThe most interesting change coming to the Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the M-35 Mako, the infantry vehicle Shepard drives throughout the series. The first Mass Effect featured a Mako that was floaty and imprecise to control while looking more like a plastic model car than an in-universe tank. For the Legendary Edition, BioWare improved the Mako's visuals so that it looks more rugged and used, with textures on the body and dirt on the tires. Mark Hamill took to Twitter to confirm a rumor that Star Wars creator George Lucas wanted the Looney Toons classic cartoon "Duck Dodgers in the 24th-and-a-half Century" to be shown before each and every screening of Star Wars in its first theatrical run. Another actor has joined the Borderlands film, with Olivier Richters--a Dutch bodybuilder and actor--coming aboard to play Krom. Richters, who stands more than seven feet tall, also appeared in The King's Man and Gangs of London. He'll be seen next in Marvel's Black Widow.Krom is the leader of the psycho bandits on Pandora. He's just the latest villain character to be cast, following news that Zero Dark Thirty's Edgar Ramirez will play Atlas. IGN was first to confirm the casting news about Krom.Just a few days ago, Richters posted on Instagram that he was traveling to Hungary and that he had big news to share soon. A new update for NBA 2K21 might make your favorite player look more like himself. The next-gen update, available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, has bug fixes and improvements, but most of the changes are likeness updates for various players.The next-gen update 6, as detailed on the official site, makes improvements to the likenesses of several NBA stars like Tyler Bey and Rayjon Tucker. There's also a general fix to a bug that would sometimes occur when trying to start a MyNBA save from the offseason. Other fixes include one to menu issues in the Mystery tier of Domination, a win/loss exploit in some multiplayer modes, and a fix to the Geologist achievement and trophy. Blizzard has revealed that the first of its two technical alphas for Diablo II: Resurrected will start on April 9 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. The technical alpha will only be on PC.To get into the technical alpha, you need to be randomly chosen. Of those who opted into the technical alpha pool, a limited selection will be invited in. Instructions for how to get in will be sent to the email that folks used to sign up, so if you opted into the player pool, be sure to watch your email over the next few days.The technical alpha will continue until April 12 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. During the alpha, you'll be able to choose to play as three of the seven classes that will be in the game--Barbarian, Amazon, or Sorceress. Pokemon Sword and Shield's brief Easter-themed Max Raid event has ended, but a new one is now underway in the games. Unlike the past few Max Raid events, however, this one doesn't appear to feature any Gigantamax Pokemon, although it does give you more chances to catch Ditto as well as a few other Gen 8 monsters.According to Serebii, Ditto is currently appearing more frequently in Max Raid dens across the Wild Area, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra. Since Pokemon you encounter in Max Raids typically have better base stats than the ones you find in the field, this is a good chance to catch a few Ditto (particularly if you're interested in breeding Pokemon). Corviknight, Centiskorch, Dubwool, Drednaw, Orbeetle, and their pre-evolved forms are also appearing more frequently for the duration of the event.Before you can encounter the featured Pokemon in your game, you'll first need to refresh your Raid dens. One of the biggest game development studios in Texas, Borderlands developer Gearbox Entertainment, is now an official subsidiary of the Embracer Group. The previously announced sale, which is valued at up to $1.3 billion, has officially closed, the two companies said in a news release on Tuesday.Gearbox is just the latest high-profile studio that Embracer has acquired in recent years, joining the likes of Valheim publisher Coffee Stain and Saints Row studio Deep Silver, among others. Embracer also owns THQ Nordic. Universal Studios Orlando's newest roller coaster is ready to be unleashed on the world. The Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal's Islands of Adventure will open to the public on June 10, bringing guests face-to-face with some seriously terrifying dinosaurs.The ride sounds like one of Universal's scariest yet, as a press release notes the coaster reaches speeds of 70 miles per hour and includes an 80-degree drop from 155 feet in the air--the steepest drop of any Universal ride.There will also be plenty of dinosaurs. According to a press release, the pack of velociraptors from the first Jurassic World movie--Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo--will join those on the ride that sends guests "through the raptor paddock, into the air, just inches above water, and more."
