Flappy Bird exploded in popularity several years ago with its simple gameplay and background elements that had pretty clearly been inspired from the Super Mario series. It was pulled and made largely unavailable--unless you had an Amazon Fire TV unit--shortly after it became huge. However, one developer has managed to bring the game back via an unexpected platform: the MacOS notification box. With a cheeky tweet asking if others knew that such a thing was even possible, developer Neil Sardesai showed the full Flappy Bird game running via the Mac's notification window. Outriders encountered server issues in its first few days online and some of the attempts to correct the problem didn't work initially. Now, another issue--inventory wipes--has been affecting some players, causing them to lose the gear they worked so hard to get. Fortnite has featured a ridiculous number of characters, Back Blings, Emotes, and other cosmetics over the last few years, so it's understandable that some items haven't resurfaced in some time after entering the vault, especially when Epic is so often partnering with licensed properties like Marvel, Star Wars, and The Walking Dead. A new Shop section is now available and features previously vaulted items exclusively. If you are just getting into the game now, it's a great chance to see the goodies you missed. Each long-absent item in this new Fortnite Shop section has been unavailable for at least a year, and some of the deepest cuts go back to the earliest seasons of Chapter 1. Currently, the Vaulted A Year Or More section, as it's called, includes the Mega Man-like Astro Assassin, masked heroes Taro and Nara, medics Triage Trooper and Field Surgeon, and more, alongside a range of corresponding accessories for several of them.Even though this is something fans have long clamored for, Epic hasn't said anything about the releases. Instead, these ultra-rare items all just arrived with the daily Shop update last night with little fanfare outside of the game's community forums. Epic Games seems to understand that, given Steam's massive user-base, the only way it can be a viable competitor is to have games that you can't play on Steam--at least for a period of time. Exclusivity deals with third-party companies cost money, and it looks like Epic Games is losing a huge amount of money to make those exclusives happen. With the even larger amount of money it's still making from Fortnite, however, that doesn't seem to be a big deal. As spotted by PC Gamer, despite paying approximately $444 million for "minimum guarantees" on third-party games for the Epic Games Store in 2020, sales of all third-party games for the year amounted to about $265 million. Apple said that Epic Games lost about $181 million on the Epic Games Store in 2019, putting the total losses thus far at more than $300 million, should these figures be correct. Big games like Metro Exodus and Control were released first on EGS before coming to Steam later.Apple used these figures in a statement as part of its lawsuit against Epic Games, pointing out that the service is unprofitable and is missing security features that Apple's App Store includes. Update: Wrestlemania had been delayed to inculcate weather. After WWE Chairman Vince McMahon came out to welcome back fans and was supposed to start the show after America The Beautiful, fans inside the Raymond James Stadium were asked to come back inside. This is the first time in Wrestlemania, and maybe WWE history, that there's been a rain delay for a live event. There was a Monday Night Raw that was canceled years back with a blizzard that rolled into Denver, but never with fans actively at a pay-per-view.After the delay was confirmed, they cut to various superstars cutting promos and hyping up their respective matches, including Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley who even said that if the match has to be fought backstage, they'll do it. Sony's London Studio has often worked on accessory-based games for PlayStation systems, and its recent efforts have been on PlayStation VR. Now, it appears the studio is gearing up for a PS5 project that's going to have online play, but it's not clear if it will be a VR game. A listing on the studio's site says it needs an online gameplay designer who will work on a PS5 project. The listing specifically mentions online multiplayer, as well as working with narrative and mission leads, so there will apparently be some sort of story content that could work alongside the multiplayer. The specifics on what kind of game it is are otherwise pretty much nonexistent, however.We do know that London Studio is working on making VR content work for PS5, at least as far as past games go. A patch released shortly after the PS5's launch added improvements to Blood & Truth, which originally launched for PS4's PSVR. Actor Elizabeth Perkins recently revealed that Robert DeNiro was very nearly her co-star on the classic 1988 dramedy Big. On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Perkins says the only reason he didn't move forward with the role was due to "scheduling conflicts."Perkins says she auditioned for her role opposite DeNiro, who "was more moody" than Tom Hanks, who later stepped in to play adult Josh Baskin, who is actually a young boy who wishes to be "big" and then ages into adulthood overnight. With Hanks, the movie was funny, light, and packed with many colorful moments like performing a duet on a foot-operated electronic keyboard. Perkins says a lot about how the movie would have been different with DeNiro by not saying a whole lot: "He was more moody… it was a little bit of a horror movie." Resident Evil Village's in-game map has been revealed, showing off four distinct locales that you'll visit when exploring the game's new European-inspired setting. As with the previous game, this doesn't necessarily mean you will be exploring them all for an equal amount of time. The map, revealed by IGN, shows that Castle Dimitrescu is just one of four areas that you'll be surviving through during the game's runtime. This is similar in style to Resident Evil 7, which had a large focus on the Baker household but expanded beyond that later in its story.
