Netflix has released a short video diving into how it set about adapting the DC comic Sweet Tooth into a live-action series. The series, based on the Jeff Lemire comics by the same name, is set to premiere on the streaming service on June 4.In tandem with the recently released first trailer, this new video gives fans a great idea what to expect from the show. This new clip features interviews from showrunners Jim Mickle (In the Shadow of the Moon, Hap and Leonard) and Beth Schwartz (Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow), executive producers Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr., cast members Christian Convery (Pup Academy) and Nonso Anozie (Game of Thrones), and Lemire. Check it out below.Sweet Tooth is set 10 years after the emergence of "hybrids"--children who are born part-human, part-animal, and are now feared and hunted by humans. The show focuses on a hybrid deer-boy named Gus, who befriends an adult wanderer named Jepperd, and sets off on a dangerous adventure to find out about Gus's origins. Note that this series, while similarly named, has nothing to do with the plans to adapt Sony's video game Twisted Metal into a new TV series, which is rumored to have cast Will Arnett as the character Sweet Tooth.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Anyone who has followed the labor market, even casually, over the last 20 years knows that jobs related to computer programming are perennially among the most sought after. As our society shifts ever more to complete reliance on computers, so do we shift towards reliance on the people with the skills to program them. During the ongoing trial between Epic Games and Apple, the latter company accused Epic Games of allowing "unspeakable" titles on its store because it supports Itch.io, an indie game platform where anyone can publish their work. Some of these were previously labeled as "adult" for a variety of reasons, Itch.io added an unspeakable search tag as a cheeky response, and organizers are now hosting The Unspeakable Jam to poke further fun at Apple's bizarre language. A whole bunch of developers seem interested, too. With more than 60 developers already signed up, The Unspeakable Jam is open for submissions until June 12 because, in the words of its organizer, "That's as long as this joke will be funny." In addition to making games that presumably contain some degree of adult content, participants' games must have a beginning and end with challenges in between. This is another jab at Apple, who used very rigid definitions for "games" during the trial.Game jams see developers getting together for very short periods of time to make complete video games, and they sometimes lead to larger, more fully realized projects coming about later on. This is certainly a bit harder to do during a pandemic like COVID-19, but we're hoping to see some creative results. We just hope that this combined effort doesn't lead to something truly monstrous.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Activision is almost certainly planning to add Die Hard content to Call of Duty: Warzone, as the official Call of Duty Twitter account has released a teaser image that cannot be confused for anything else. Posted on May 8, the tweet mentions Nakatomi Duct Cleaning, a reference to the famous Nakatomi Plaza where the first movie took place. It says it has been in business since 1988, which is when Die Hard released, and it asks customers to "Say 'Yippee Ki Yay' to dust," playing on Bruce Willis' famous catchphrase as cop John McClane. Air ducts are a complicated network of danger. If yours are in need of repair, call the best in the business at Nakatomi Duct Cleaning. Despite the previous one releasing just a day ago, Returnal got yet another. patch, update 1.3.6, on May 8. The patch fixes a few different issues that had previously been addressed in the problematic 1.3.5 patch, and it also addresses an issue with save data corruption, if a previous post is still accurate. The update's patch notes were released on Housemarque's Twitter, and though they're concise, they address the pressing issues in the game's current version. Crashes, preorder suits blocking progress in certain areas, and custom controller mapping issues are all mentioned, as is "incorrect healing behavior." This last one is apparently talking about healing more than once per run at the Helios ship, so it could make the game a little harder.Returnal 1.3.6 patch release 08May (11am GMT) -Multiple stability fixes addressing rare crashes. -Fixed issue with pre-order suits occasionally blocking items and doors. -Fixed incorrect healing behaviour. -Fixed issues with custom controller mappings. -Numerous minor fixes — Housemarque (@Housemarque) May 7, 2021Also..-Fixed issue with corrupted save game.Reminder: To keep active runs, turn off auto-update. — Housemarque (@Housemarque) May 7, 2021The biggest issue addressed, however, is save data corruption. Because the previous patch already fixed the issue that was causing save data corruption, this appears to mean that Housemarque figured out how to resurrect affected files. However, it remains to be seen if that applies to everyone who lost progress because of the borked update from earlier this week. For now, the studio still recommends turning off auto-update if you are putting your PS5 into rest mode with an active run, as it will otherwise close to update the software. However, this note was absent from the post last added to Housemarque's website.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
