A recent Discord message from Team Cherry's Matthew Griffin would seem to confirm that the highly-anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will not be at E3 this year. A screencap of the message was posted on the game's subreddit, where it quickly garnered thousands of upvotes."Hey guys! I just wanted to pop in and let you know that Team Cherry does not have any announcements/blogs scheduled for E3 this year," the announcement reads.Matthew Griffin handles marketing and publishing for Team Cherry. We found the original message in the game's Discord, and it appears to be legitimate. However, we have still reached out to Team Cherry to confirm that Silksong will not be at E3, and we will update this piece if and when we hear back from them.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Destiny 2 has gotten a new update in the second week of the Season of the Splicer, fixing an issue that previously caused Bungie to disable one of the best love pieces of Stasis gear in Warlock players' arsenals. With Hotfix 3.2.0.1, that issue is fixed according to Bungie's patch notes, and Bleak Watcher, a Warlock Stasis Aspect that creates ice-flinging turrets around the battlefield, is back in the game and ready to make your life miserable in this week's Iron Banner competition.Bungie released patch notes for the update on its website, which run down a few other tweaks and bug fixes that got dealt with as well. Many of them have to do with minor issues associated with the new transmog system Bungie added to Destiny 2 with the Season of the Splicer. The patch also fixed an issue where dialogue was cutting off in some languages, as well. The issue with Bleak Watcher was the big problem for Hotfix 3.2.0.1, though. It's a Stasis Aspect that players can earn and equip to give their characters different Stasis class powers, and Bleak Watcher has been a favorite of the Crucible because it allows you to turn your grenade into an automated turret that flings ice at opponents, slowing them down significantly. The bug created a side-effect where the Super abilities of players using the aspect were lasting longer than they were supposed to, effectively giving them an unfair advantage.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While we anxiously await the arrival of American Horror Story Season 10, AKA Double Feature, FX's John Landgraf has offered an update about its upcoming spin-off series, the somewhat confusingly titled American Horror Stories. Amazon has been selling its Echo Frames for some time now, but one of the most glaring omissions with regards to its design is more prescription lens options. If you work (or play games) in front of a computer all day or just need something to protect your eyes from the sun, Amazon is now offering its Echo Frames with options that include blue light filtering and polarized lenses, which should make the smart glasses more enticing to more people.Like Razer's recently announced Anzu glasses, the Echo Frames offer you an alternative to headphones when it comes to consuming audio content like podcasts, music, and audiobooks. They feature downward-firing speakers on both arms that let you hear audio without needing to block out the rest of the world. The Echo Frames pair to a range of devices and work with numerous voice assistants, from Amazon's own Alexa to Apple's Siri, so that you can make calls and navigate content without having to pull out your phone. The new lens options open up the Echo Frames to a wider range of uses. The blue light filtering is especially exciting if you spend most of your time in front of a computer screen during the day. Most prescription lenses for traditional frames come with this option, so now you don't have to choose between them or the Echo Frames if you want the smart functionality. Similarly, if you're looking for glasses that can keep you in tune with the outdoors during a run or hike but still let you listen to music, the new blue mirror or dark polarized lens options will protect your eyes from the sun.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It looks like the Grid is coming to Fall Guys, as developer Mediatonic is teasing a new batch of what certainly look to be Tron-themed skins coming to the popular multiplayer title. The image shows a number of silhouettes. One almost certainly looks like Tron from the original 1982 film, with another likely to be the film's villain Sark (the character's distinctive helmet makes it a dead giveaway). Some fans on Twitter are speculating that the image likely to be Sark could also be Optimus Prime based on the shape of the character's head, which would be cool but does seem unlikely. Fall Guys has received skins for everything from Doom to Godzilla in the past, so anything is at least possible. We've been working on this next collab for many light cycles...Can you guess who it is? 👀 pic.twitter.com/LzH5XVpHK2 — Fall Guys 🤖 Season 4.5 🤖 (@FallGuysGame) May 18, 2021The other silhouettes in the teaser image are a little harder to decipher, though it would be surprising if none of the skins included characters and looks from 2010's Tron: Legacy. Let's all hope a Jeff Bridges-themed Fall Guys skin is on the way.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Apple Fellow and head of the App Store Phil Schiller testified in the ongoing Epic vs. Apple trial on Monday, and he responded to criticism from Microsoft (via CNET) that the App Store's rules are burdensome for consumers. Microsoft's criticisms focused particularly on how those rules interact with streaming services like the company's xCloud.Schiller, who previously led the company's worldwide marketing for 30 years, said that Apple's approach to the App Store is consistent and thoughtful. The main issue at play here is Apple's requirement that all game streaming services submit its individual apps to the App Store for review. For services like xCloud, that means that Microsoft has to submit listings for hundreds of games.Schiller stated that this requirement is justified because Apple would like to provide certain information to users for every app on the App Store, including an age rating, parental controls, and a product page. Critics of Apple have often pointed out that the company does not require streaming services like Netflix to submit listings and product pages for each item in their catalog. Schiller responded to that criticism, stating that the nature of interactive games requires the company to provide more information than just a streaming video.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Note: This post contains spoilers for all three Mass Effect games in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, as we'll be running down all of your romance options, as well as pointing out how they can continue throughout all three games. Read on at your own risk.Mass Effect: Legendary Edition brings together the three original Mass Effect games, and with it, all their various choices. One of the big upshots of the Mass Effect series is that you can play through the games on the same save file, and therefore, make cascading choices throughout the series that build on one another. Among those choices are whether to strike up romantic relationships with your crew members, and with whom. Those choices can carry forward, allowing you to start a single romance, take part in several relationships, and even rekindle old flames by the end of the series. But creating relationships with the characters of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition requires some effort, and not all of them are available to every version of Commander Shepard. Your character choices can lock out some relationships, and not every character will be interested in a male or female Shepard. Here's what you need to know about all your romance options and how to unlock the various relationships throughout Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

After the prologue and spending a little time on the Citadel recruiting an alien ally or two, Mass Effect 1--the first game in the new Mass Effect: Legendary Edition--becomes fairly open-ended. You can freely choose which order to take on three key story missions on different planets, with each providing a lead on Saren. Those planets are Noveria, Therum, and Feros. But which order should you choose?Should You Start At Noveria, Therum, Or Feros? While the missions can be taken in any order, there's a natural gameplay and story progression to taking them on in a certain sequence. You can generally take on Therum or Feros first without major consequences, but going for Noveria first is not advisable. That's partly because Noveria is more difficult than Feros or Therum, to the point where BioWare likely intended it to be the last of the three. The more central reason, though, is that there are certain story revelations on Noveria that will just make more sense and feel more dramatic if you already have Liara on your squad. We recommend recruiting Liara T'Soni first. She's the last person you can recruit to your squad, so having a full team makes this the natural first mission of the three. Having Liara on your squad gives you another set of skills for your team composition for subsequent main quests or sidequests, and it gives you more time to invest in romance with her if you so choose.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Actor Charles Grodin has died at the age of 86. Grodin starred in the Beethoven movies and the action comedy Midnight Run.Grodin was known for his droll, deadpan humor, and often played the straight man to more outlandish co-stars. The most obvious example of this was the 1992 hit Beethoven, where he was teamed with a giant Saint Bernard. While his character's wife and kids embrace the new addition to their family, Grodin is perfectly cast as Beethoven's exasperated nemesis, who eventually grows to love him. Grodin also returned for the 1994 sequel.Charles Grodin with Robert De Niro in Midnight RunGrodinFor older audiences, Grodin is remembered for the 1989's Midnight Run, in which he plays a corrupt accountant who is transported across the country by Robert De Niro's foul-mouthed bounty hunter. The hilarious performances and love/hate relationship between Grodin and De Niro's characters is big part of why the film is still so beloved.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Investing in a Wi-Fi mesh system is one of the best upgrades you can make to your home internet, and Amazon is making it even easier with a deal on its well-rated Eero Pro mesh Wi-Fi system. The most enticing offer applies to a bundle with one Eero Pro and two beacons, with a discounted price of $255 (a $64 saving). If you need more connectivity options, however, the Eero Pro triple pack is your best option, discounted to $399 and saving you $100. Amazon Eero Pro mesh Wi-Fi system $255 (was $319) A mesh system uses a central hub and several nodes to create one seamless Wi-Fi network around your house, which is faster and more stable than using previously popular Wi-Fi extenders. The Eero Pro replaces your router, letting you set up your network and make use of its two ethernet ports for the best speed possible on your network. The included beacons can be plugged directly into an outlet around your home, with the Eero app letting you quickly link all the devices and create a wireless network that covers up to 5500 square feet. See at Amazon Amazon Eero Pro mesh Wi-Fi system - 3-Pack $399 (was $499) If you need more connectivity options, the Eero Pro triple pack is a better solution. Instead of two beacons, this bundle comes with three Pro routers, one of which you can configure as the main one for the other two to extend. Since all three are Pros, however, you do benefit from having two ethernet ports on each of them, giving you more wired options around your home. You'll also get more range, with a total of 6000 square feet covered. See at Amazon Both bundles use Amazon's second-generation Eero technology, which should ensure more stable and fast connections. If you've invested in this ecosystem already, you'll be able to use these new access points with older Eero devices, allowing you to extend your range without replacing the whole lot. These also come with Apple HomeKit support, letting you control your network easily using your Apple devices.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

One of the most exciting new additions to Call of Duty: Warzone with the Season 3 Reloaded update is the introduction of the game's first licensed characters, John Rambo from the Rambo series and John McClane from Die Hard. Both are coming to the game through the '80s Action Hero DLC, which shakes things up in a big and exciting way. We recently had the chance to speak to developers at Activision about the new DLC, which arrives this week, and our conversation touched on the Nakatomi Plaza missions, whether or not Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis worked with Activision, and if more licensed characters could come in the future. We also asked if Call of Duty's player base might even know who Rambo and McClane are, given they originated back in the '80s.Activision's Natalie Pohorski, a narrative designer at Raven Software, said she's excited in particular about the introduction of the famous fictional building from Die Hard, Nakatomi Plaza, being added to the game. It replaces the broadcast tower and is the tallest structure on the map. It's also filled with special missions and activities, and there will be a series of Easter eggs to uncover throughout its five stories of playable spaces.Gallery One of the missions will involve cracking into the Nakatomi Plaza safe, but it won't be easy, as other players will be trying as well. There is also another missions where players must stop an arms deal. Pohorski said this will be a multi-stage mission that begins in the basement and moves all the way up. Another missions challenges players to defuse C4 on the top of the building while enemy choppers try to gun them down. Overall, Pohorski said players can expect a series of Easter eggs in the Plaza building.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The crew behind the scenes of Netflix's Castlevania, Season 4 of which just premiered, vary widely in experience. Executive producer Kevin Kolde shepherded the series for years, having licensed it via his production company Project 51 originally in the early 2000s. Brother directors Sam and Adam Deats, meanwhile, came from a background in video game cutscenes to direct what is generally considered one of the best video game adaptations to date. GameSpot spoke with all three to look back at the show and get a better understanding of how they managed to put together something that has captured such a devoted audience.Kolde has been in animation production for over 30 years. Working on series like Ren & Stimpy, Adventure Time, and Bravest Warriors put Kolde on both sides of creating animation--creative and production. "I kind of did it all for Castlevania," he told GameSpot.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
