Following the big new Season 3 Reloaded update, another patch is now available for Call of Duty: Warzone, and this one is completely focused on fixing bugs.The May 21 patch for Warzone fixes even more places on the Verdansk map that allowed players to access out-of-bounds areas. This has been an ongoing issue, as players have found ways to get under the map and take out players who never see them coming. Before this, developer Raven Software released multiple patches to address other out-of-bounds glitches. The new Warzone update also also fixes collision issues that could allow players to gain an advantage. Additionally, the patch addresses a bug with the Ballistic knife camouflage progression challenge, while another issue that made some scopes on ranged weapons to fail to display a glint is now fixed. Until May 23, Wooloo and its evolved form, Dubwool, are appearing more frequently in Max Raid Battles across the Wild Area, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra. Although the internet, including many The Mandalorian cast members, were celebrating the recent announcement that David Filoni has been made the executive creative director of Lucasfilm, Variety has pushed its glasses up with a report clarifying that the promotion actually happened last summer, but the company only got around to updating its website this week. It's a good thing Variety did this digging, because its report on the matter also unearthed the news that the planned Mandalorian spinoff Rangers of the New Republic is no longer active in development.First announced in December 2020, little was known about the planned spinoff. In GameSpot's previous reporting, we speculated that the series might be set concurrently with or at least in the same time period as the events of The Mandalorian, since the New Republic is the government that cropped up between the original movie trilogy and the newest trilogy. Before MMA fighter Gina Carano's being fired by Lucasfilm for Instagram posts comparing the persecution of Jewish people in Nazi Germany to "hating someone for their political views," she was expected to feature in the spinoff somehow--now, both she and the show have been sunset from the Star Wars franchise galaxy.Meanwhile, The Book of Boba Fett (set to premiere in December) and Ahsoka (which doesn't yet have a solid release date), the other current Disney+ TV series spinoffs, are moving forward as planned. Actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will join the voice cast of the upcoming animated movie DC League of Super-Pets, as Krypto the Super-Dog. According to Variety, Johnson's character will be a major focus of the film, which is due in theaters on May 20, 2022.Plot details are still light, but the basic premise involves Superman going out of town, and it's up to his pet dog and "a flying cat to stop crime while the Man of Steel is on vacation." Johnson will produce the film, along with Patricia Hicks and Jared Stern. John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, and Nicholas Stoller are executive producing. None of Johnson's co-stars in the film are yet cast. Stern (The Internship) will write and direct the film, with Sam Levine (Wreck-It Ralph) co-directing.This is far from the only big-name project on the horizon from Johnson. Also set in the DC universe, there's Black Adam, which is due out July 29, 2022. Crusader Kings 3 is already one of the most acclaimed role-playing and strategy games in recent memory, and it's about to get even bigger with the Royal Court expansion. You'll finally be able to truly see the tangible rewards of your success with a decorated court, which will also serve as your decision-making center on important matters.Announced as part of Paradox Interactive's PDXCON Remixed event on May 21, the paid Royal Court expansion will be worked into the existing Crusader Kings 3 game to make it feel like an organic piece. The court will allow you to take petitioners, choosing who to hear speak and making decisions that will become law. However, Paradox told us in a media pre-briefing that "no conflict stays petty for long," so expect smaller squabbles to eventually have wider implications.There are a number of other people who can appear in the court, as well, including food tasters to keep you from being poisoned, as well as royal champions and tutors who can teach foreign languages. Knowing these will reduce penalties for being a foreigner in certain areas. Special "inspired" people can also ask for sponsorship to take part in an expedition, which could bring back a relic for display in the court. Borderlands 3's latest hotfix is now live, activating the True Trials event for the Trial of Cunning. As part of this update, both the health and attack of the Trial of Cunning boss have been massively increased, raising the trial's difficulty significantly. While the challenge might be an exciting prospect to some, the official Gearbox blog post warns new players to "beware," as the mini-event cannot be turned off and will remain live until May 27.As a reward for undertaking this challenge, the Trial of Cunning boss will drop two Legendary weapons upon defeat, with each drop having a chance of being either the Sickle or Skullmasher from the Gun, Love, and Tentacles add-on. However, while these weapons will drop for all players, the blog post reminds players that only those who have purchased the add-on will be able to equip the Skullmasher to their character. In addition to these improved drops, the chest at the end of the Trial of Cunning will now be full of legendary loot regardless of how quickly you complete it or the number of objectives you scored.This hotfix is part of the larger True Trials event, which began May 13 and is running until July 1. The event adds six weeks of challenging content to the game, in which one of the Proving Grounds map bosses will get dramatically buffed each week. If you can best these baddies, each boss drops some legendary loot for your troubles, with one weapon selected from the base game's loot pool and the other coming from one of Borderland 3's six add-ons. Last week, the Trial of Survival was the one to take on, with players earning The Lob and some Lucky 7 legendary weapons for doing so.
