Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, the upcoming strategy JRPG, isn't out for another month in the West, but the demo for the game is available on Nintendo Switch right now. Nintendo put up a blog post announcing the demo, stating that any progress made will transfer over to the full game when it releases.The game follows Zed, a zombie that has risen up from the underworld and is on a quest to destroy a god threatening his way of life. Zed has the power of "super-reincarnation" which allows him to come back stronger every time he dies. Like the previous entries in the Disgaea series, Disgaea 6 will feature insane numbers, with the level cap being bumped up to level 99,999,999, with the ability to deal quadrillions of damage. The game also features a variety of systems for replaying the game, like the brand-new auto-repeat function, which will automatically replay the same level endlessly, for easy and simple grinding.The game was announced for the West during New Game+ Expo in March, with Nippon Ichi Software president Shohei Niikkawa making the announcement in full costume. The long-rumored film centering on Spider-Man villain Kraven the Hunter is happening, and Sony has chosen its hunter, GameSpot has learned. Aaron Taylor-Johnson will don the fuzzy vest of Marvel's cunning hunter for a 2023 release date.The film, titled Kraven the Hunter, is currently scheduled to hit theaters on January 13, 2023. Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4 may be on the way to PC, according to a recently published Sony investor document. This document is available on Sony's official site, with the intent of giving investors a view on the state of the PlayStation brand, and it highlights many of the successes that the PS4 and PS5 have had in the last year.Since 2020, PlayStation has removed the strict barrier between consoles and PC. First with the releases of both Death Stranding and Horizon: Zero Dawn on PC last year, Sony Bend's Days Gone also made its way to PC just last month. It's been a whole console generation since we last saw Shepard, Tali, Garrus, and the rest of the Normandy crew. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition remasters BioWare's space opera RPG trilogy for the new generation of consoles, enhancing the visuals, implementing quality of life improvements, and making welcome adjustments to certain content for all three games. In those adjustments, Legendary Edition occasionally draws unwanted attention to parts of the trilogy that haven't aged gracefully, but as a whole, this remaster is a good way to see what all the fuss is about if you missed out on the first three Mass Effect games the first time around, or are just looking for a reason to dive into them again.The core of Mass Effect is its choice- and consequence-driven narrative. As Commander Shepard, the first human to be given the role of a Spectre (basically a space cop) in the interspecies Milky Way government, you are put into many situations where you have the final say on how things go down. Your choices in the first game can influence how characters perceive you or how events transpire in the second, which then can domino effect into the third. It's up to you to decide whether you wish to be a paragon of virtue or a results-oriented renegade in your mission to defend the entire Milky Way's galactic society from a large number of conflicts, while an even greater threat looms on the horizon.While this consequence-driven system seems to allow a great deal of agency in how you resolve certain conflicts, it's rigid in its design, basing the entirety of Shepard's morality on a binary system of Paragon and Renegade choices. Its simplicity does make the system fairly approachable, reducing the complexity of every decision to a "morally good" and "morally bad" choice for those looking to play through the trilogy entirely Paragon or Renegade. Cyberpunk 2077 is still unavailable on PlayStation consoles, and there is no update yet on when it might come back. Adam Kicinski, the joint CEO of developer CD Projekt Red, addressed the issue as part of a shareholder meeting on Tuesday. Speaking through a translator, and reported on by VGC, Kicinski said the decision about whether or not to host Cyberpunk 2077 comes down to Sony and Sony alone. Kicinski said CD Projekt Red remains in communication with Sony and that performance and stability of the PS4 edition of Cyberpunk 2077 has improved through patches. A big visual overhaul was rolled out today that adds a program for subscribers that gives subscribers a handful of free in-game items and currency per month.In the rewards program, Ubisoft gives subscribers the chance to choose between a few in-game items to redeem per month. New subscribers get to choose one out of four items to claim; the longer you're subscribed, the more rewards you can grab.
