Thor: Ragnarok didn't just break the mold for its stoic hero, it shattered it like Hela did Mjolnir. Director Taika Waititi is set to do the same with his second go-round in Thor: Love & Thunder, and Karen Gillan's Nebula will be part of that "bonkers" atmosphere, the actress said in a new interview with Collider."Taika really brought out the bonkers side [of Nebula]," Gillan said. "I think everyone is just really, really funny and bonkers and wild."Nebula joined the MCU in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy. As Gamora's sister and Thanos' daughter, she was a major antagonist for the Guardians and later the greater MCU as she struggled between loyalty to Thanos and then to Gamora, finally breaking out of that mold in Avengers: Endgame. While the Guardians movies are undeniably funny, Gillan has always had to play it straight as the dour cyborg. While the overall atmosphere of Thor: Love & Thunder is wild, Nebula probably won't be the one making the jokes.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

If you don't count the release of the canceled-at-the-last-minute Star Fox 2, which debuted on the Super NES Classic Edition in 2017, Nintendo's Star Fox series has been dormant since the release of Star Fox Zero on the Wii U in 2016. Now, the original Star Fox's co-programmer, Giles Goddard, is offering insight on what he would do were he to ever work on a new entry in the series."I think I would just dial it back a lot and not put in gimmicks like, you know, the stuff Star Fox Zero had, and maybe not even put in the free roaming aspects and stuff like that," Goddard says in a new interview with GameXplain. "I would just bring it back, pull it back into what made the original Star Fox fun, and just make one based on that. I don't know how popular it would be, but it would be cool to try."Star Fox Zero, co-developed by Platinum Games, released to mediocre reviews, with critics and players criticizing the game's Wii U GamePad functionality, which required them to aim weapons using the GamePad's gyroscopic controls. The game was bundled at launch with Star Fox Guard, a tower-defense-esque game also co-developed by Platinum Games in which players monitored security cameras in an effort to defend a base from robotic enemies.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Minecraft alpha version 1.1.1, an extremely rare build of the game that was only available for a few hours back in 2010, has finally been recovered thanks to some digital sleuthing. Back in the early days of Minecraft--before it was the gaming behemoth that we know today--the game was often updated at a weekly or even daily clip, which could sometimes confuse players. As a result of this, alpha version 1.1.1 was only available for three hours and 25 minutes before it was replaced with 1.1.2. This is because 1.1.1 introduced a nasty bug that could lead to the game becoming unresponsive, and Mojang stomped out the bug very quickly. Since it was known as a bugged version, most Minecraft players who downloaded the build quickly deleted it once they downloaded 1.1.2.So let's talk about video game preservation, data hoarding, and Minecraft.(🧵 thread) — Luna ðŸ³ï¸â€ðŸŒˆ (@lunasorcery) June 26, 2021As a result, many in the community thought that it was lost forever, including those at the Omniarchive, which is a group dedicated to dredging up old versions of Minecraft. However, that changed when a digital archivist noticed that Twitter user @LunaSorcery had tweeted that she downloaded the new build on the day it came out. Luna dug around in an old external hard drive and managed to find the lost version of the game, which caused many hardcore Minecraft fans to jump for joy.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The remasters of Final Fantasy V and VI available on PC will be delisted from storefronts on July 27, according to the Steam store description of both items. Twitter user RobotBrush was one of the first to spot the notice, while also commenting that these remastered versions are generally considered to be a bad way to play the game.Final Fantasy V and VI are widely-regarded as two of the best entries in the storied series. However, the remasters available on Steam are ports of the mobile versions of the game, which redrew all of the game's sprites in order to give it a less pixelated look. Fans complained that these new sprites were blurry and uninspired, and several of the top Steam reviews for each game cite major bugs such as save corruption.squeenix will be nuking the old "remakes" of FFV and FFVI ... so if, for some reason, you wanted to grab those - you have just under a month to do so https://t.co/Dco5G3xUnshttps://t.co/l26zGaCagL pic.twitter.com/5BSCMQUZh3 — lashman (@RobotBrush) June 29, 2021Given that Square Enix recently announced that it will fully remaster the first six Final Fantasy games and release them in one package on PC and mobile, it makes sense that the company would want to distance themselves from these less-than-popular remasters. These new remasters are trying to recreate what pixels looked like on a CRT television rather than just simply recreating the original raw pixels. As Chris Kohler of Digital Eclipse notes, the raw pixels were never meant to be seen by the player.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

In Fortnite Week 4, you'll need to visit Farmer Steel's favorite places. As usual with these Legendary Quests, you won't likely know exactly where to go - Farmer Steel is just an acquaintance after all. But we've mapped out what Epic means when it says his "favorite places." Here's where you'll need to look for the apparently very hungry Farmer Steel.Farmer Steel's Favorite PlacesIf there's only one thing to know about Farmer Steel, it's that the man loves to eat.
