Elite Dangerous has received another large update for its Odyssey expansion, which has been plagued with bugs and performance issues. Since its launch, Elite Dangerous: Odyssey has received tons of player complaints, causing the DLC to have a "mostly negative" rating on Steam with over 4,500 reviews The CEO of Frontier Developments, the studio behind Elite Dangerous, has since apologized for the issues and said that fixing them is of the utmost priority for the developer.This is the second big update since Elite Dangerous: Odyssey released on PC on May 19, with both updates mainly focused on bugs and performance issues. The DLC was highly anticipated among fans of the series as it introduced the ability to step outside of your spaceship and explore the galaxy in first-person view. Chinese actor Donnie Yen will join Keanu Reeves in the upcoming John Wick 4 according to a report from Deadline.Yen will reportedly play an old friend of Wick in the film; no other details are yet available about the character. Yen himself is one of China's most popular action stars. He's best known for his four-film Ip Man series, which tells the semi-fictional life story of real-life Wing Chun practitioner Ip Man. A leak about 2K's upcoming slate of games, including a Borderlands spin-off and an XCOM-style Marvel game, is reportedly true. Microsoft is teasing a June 24 event where the company will detail the "next generation of Windows," The Verge reports. Invites for Microsoft's Windows event have started circulating before it goes live at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET.What's to come to Windows sounds huge. PUBG's update 12.1 is live on all platforms, and it brings some interesting and wide-ranging changes to the battlegrounds. These additions include a revamp of the fan-favorite Miramar map, a new anti-materiel rifle, and a new quad bike.The biggest change in update 12.1 is the "world update" of PUBG's Miramar map. The desert environment was first unveiled in 2017, but this new version of the map improves its lighting, reduces the amount of "clutter" in the environment, and adjusts the amount of cover in the map's open areas substantially. The update also revises the map's loot table to include jammer packs, decoy grenades, and emergency parachutes.The patch adds a new weapon to the game in the form of the Lynx AMR, which is a .50 caliber anti-materiel sniper rifle. Intended as a hard counter to vehicles, the rifle can destroy a motorcycle in a single shot, and other vehicles in just two or three. Gran Turismo 7 has long been thought of as a PS5 exclusive, but it turns out that is actually not the case. Gran Turismo 7 is another instance of a first-party Sony game that will be released for both PS4 and PS5. The news was quietly shared in a Q&A with Hermen Hulst, the head of PlayStation Studios, on the company's blog where he indicated that Gran Turismo 7 is a cross-gen game. In response to a question about how the PS4 factors into Sony's future plans, Hermen Hulst listed Gran Turismo 7 (as well as the new God of War) as games that "makes sense" to develop for both the PS4 and PS5."Where it makes sense to develop a title for both PS4 and PS5--for Horizon Forbidden West, the next God of War, GT7--we'll continue looking at that," he said. New versions of Tesla's Model X and Model S vehicles are coming soon, and they'll launch with an overhauled infotainment system. In contrast to most in-car systems, Tesla's is basically just a PC--and the new one will be powered by AMD technology.At its Computex 2021 speech, AMD announced that it's powering Tesla's new setup with a specific eye toward making it more capable as a gaming rig. The chipmaker is pairing a Ryzen processor with a dedicated RDNA2 GPU that's exclusively for the purpose of running big AAA games. The system boasts over 10 teraflops of power, which is likely more than enough to run The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, just as Tesla CEO Elon Musk promised.Interior and infotainment system screen of the Model S Plaid.Analysis from The Verge notes that, based on leaked documents, the Tesla system will likely be using the new Radeon 6600M GPU. Respawn Entertainment's head of security for Apex Legends recently said that the company is taking "huge steps" to deal with the ongoing wave of DDoS cheaters in the game's community. Security lead Conor "Hideouts" Ford said in a tweet that 31 DDoS abusers were shadowbanned on June 1 as part of a crackdown against cheaters.If you aren't familiar, DDoS stands for "distributed denial of service." Essentially, these players are overwhelming the game servers with requests in order to give themselves a competitive advantage. Players have been complaining about the issue since at least March, and while Respawn has banned many players for the practice, it seems that a more permanent solution is needed.
