Following the latest leak, Niantic has confirmed Pokemon Go's annual Halloween event is coming back for another year. The event is now underway for a limited time and introduces a handful of new Gen 4 Pokemon to the game, as well as the first Gen 4 Legendary. As in previous years, Niantic is debuting a couple of new Ghost- and Dark-type Pokemon during the Halloween event. This time around, players will have their first chance to catch Drifloon, Stunky, and their evolved forms Drifblim and Skuntank. The studio is also offering new trainer hats, shirts, and backpacks inspired by Ghost Pokemon through the in-game store, including a Gengar backpack and Drifloon cap. (A Gengar event, meanwhile, is on the way soon.)On top of that, Niantic is kicking off a new Special Research questline. Whereas previous Special Research quests led to encounters with the Mythical Pokemon Mew and Celebi, this new one revolves around Spiritomb--another Ghost Pokemon introduced in Gen 4. Niantic is also rolling out new Field Research tasks that focus on Ghost and Dark Pokemon. Finally, just as in past years, players will earn double the normal amount of Candy for capturing Pokemon during the Halloween event.Perhaps most notably, the first Gen 4 Legendary Pokemon is set to debut in Pokemon Go. Coinciding with the start of the Halloween event, Pokemon Platinum's cover monster, Giratina, will appear around the world as a Raid Battle at Gyms until November 20, giving players roughly a month to add one to their collection. Giratina is dual Ghost/Dragon Pokemon, so you'll want to bring along a powerful Dark- or Dragon-type to challenge it. Here are some tips for catching one.Pokemon Go's Halloween event is slated to run until November 1. Meanwhile, the game's next Community Day is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 10. The featured Pokemon this time will be Cyndaquil, one of the three starters from Pokemon Gold and Silver.Info from Gamespot.com

Another week brings another set of challenges to complete in Fortnite. Week 5's challenges are now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile, and this time, they have players jumping through flaming hoops and speeding past radar signs, among other things. As usual, completing these will earn you Battle Stars, which in turn will level up your Battle Pass and unlock the new Season 6 rewards. There's an added incentive for completing all of the challenges from a given week, however; it will also clear a Hunting Party challenge, thereby unlocking a special loading screen that points you to a free item hidden around the map. The item in question will either be a free Banner, which can be used as a profile icon, or a Battle Star that will level your Battle Pass up by one tier when collected, making it worth your while to clear as many Hunting Party challenges as you can this season. If you've kept up with all of the challenges to date in Season 6 and manage to complete Week 5's missions, you'll unlock the loading screen pictured below, which depicts two characters hunting down a pair of vampires, Van Helsing-style, on a castle. Each loading screen you can unlock through the Hunting Party challenges contains a subtle clue to either the Banner or Battle Star's whereabouts. Sure enough, if you look closely at the upper lefthand corner of the screen, you can see the faint outline of a Battle Star in the window. The castle alluded to in the loading screen is located near Haunted Hills. The easiest way to collect the Battle Star hidden there is to simply head to the location at the start of a match; you'll find it waiting in the window, just as teased, once you approach. Collect it and you'll level your Battle Pass up by one tier. You can watch us collect the Battle Star in the video above to see exactly where you need to go.As usual, the Battle Star will only appear if you've finished the requisite number of challenges. This particular one won't show up on the map unless you've completed five weeks' worth of missions and unlocked the aforementioned loading screen, so you won't simply be able to go to its location and pick it up unless you've put in the necessary work. You can see our guides for all of the free Banner and Battle Star locations thus far below.Epic recently released Fortnite's 6.20 update, which marked the start of the Halloween-themed Fortnitemares event. For a limited time, you'll be able to complete a special set of challenges, which will unlock new cosmetics such as the Deadfire skin. Last year, Square Enix made the dramatic announcement that it would narrow its focus down to its key franchises and studios. This meant that developer IO Interactive and the Hitman franchise were put up for sale. Hitman 2 was already in development when this announcement came down, which put the future of the studio and the Hitman franchise in question. IO Interactive was ultimately successful in becoming an independent company, and it was able to retain the Hitman rights. Eventually, IO partnered with Warner Bros. on the soon-to-launch Hitman 2.In an interview with GameSpot, associate director Eskil Mohl reflected on this challenging time for IO Interactive. IO had to make a number of layoffs as part of the deal. While this was difficult, Mohl said it helped the team that remained become further unified and driven to make Hitman 2 better."It's sort of a miracle that we're here today," Mohl said. "We're super happy and excited about that because of course it's been a rough time. It took a long time to find Warner as well."Mohl said when Square Enix dropped IO and the Hitman franchise, the situation felt dire. He said he remembers thinking, "Oh sh*t, we're flying over the Atlantic and we don't have enough gas to get there. So what the hell do we do?"As mentioned, one part of coming to a solution was cutting jobs--and this was difficult."We had to let a lot of people go. But that made the team that was left really come together [and say] 'Let's do this, we believe in the product.' We were already working on Hitman 2 and then this thing happened," he said. "It sort of unified us in a way. Yeah, it's been super hard, but its always a lot of work, but it's fun work. It really made us go, 'Yeahhh we can do it!.'"And regarding IO's new partnership with Warner Bros., Mohl said it's been smooth sailing. Similarly, Square Enix was pleasant during the breakup, he said."I can only say super positive things," Mohl said. "We're super happy with Warner Bros. And they seem to be happy with us, right? [looks at PR person in the room]. I have to say, after Square left us, they've been extremely nice to us. They had to focus on other stuff, so that was fair."Hitman 2 launches on November 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The actor Sean Bean, who typically portrays characters who die, is the first Elusive Target in the sequel. You can watch a trailer for this in the video embed above. Info from Gamespot.com

At E3 this year, Bethesda made the surprise announcement of two massive games: a brand new sci-fi single-player game called Starfield and the long-awaited The Elder Scrolls VI. Speaking to GameSpot at PAX Australia recently, Bethesda marketing boss Pete Hines and ZeniMax Online Studios game director Matt Firor said it'll be a long time before The Elder Scrolls VI comes out--so long that the game might not hit until new console hardware is release."The easiest thing is look at how it was announced; it was Starfield and then [Elder Scrolls 6]," Firor said. "You can go back and count the years between Bethesda Game Studios releases, and you'll get the idea that [The Elder Scrolls 6 is] not coming anytime soon."I asked Firor about The Elder Scrolls VI in regards to how that game's release might affect ZeniMax's MMO The Elder Scrolls Online. Specifically, I was wondering if The Elder Scrolls Online might incorporate the world of The Elder Scrolls VI in some way, following the way in which Morrorwind came to The Elder Scrolls Online by letting players go back to Vvardenfell. Firor said it's too soon to say what will happen as it relates to whatever location The Elder Scrolls VI takes players to."I don't even know what the world is going to be like when it comes out; there will be a different console generation by then, I'm sure," he said. "Who knows. But I know we're free and clear for a long time."Hines, meanwhile, described The Elder Scrolls VI as being "big" and "ambitious," but he wouldn't be drawn into getting into further specifics about director Todd Howard's new game. What Hines did want to stress was that Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield so early on to help manage expectations and let fans know that yes, Bethesda hasn't forgotten about The Elder Scrolls."[The Elder Scrolls VI] is big and it's ambitious, but also … the most important thing to underscore is that the timeline between products that you get from BGS is not any different than it has been historically just because we've talked about two games after Fallout 76," Hines said. "I try really hard to manage people's expectations. It's not like 'Fallout 76 this year, Starfield next year, and then TES6 the year after.' The timeline isn't any different. What's different is just trying to be transparent and say, 'Don't freak out, the next thing we're doing is single-player [in Starfield], [and] we are making TES6."Hines stressed that it takes a "really long time" to make huge games like Starfield, which is a single-player only game, and the next Elder Scrolls Games. Bethesda has more people than ever working on its new games and more studios overall, but games like Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI are massive undertakings that require a lot of time to get right. That being said, Hines said there could have been a nice upside to surprise-announcing Starfield just months before release (as it did with Fallout 4), but he's also enjoying the fact that fans can be at peace knowing that ambitious new games are coming."Would it have been better if it was some years from now and we just go, 'Surprise, we're making a game called Starfield, and it's out X months later?' Yeah. For sure. But at the same time, there is also value in every day between there people aren't freaking out about us making Fallout 76 as an online-only game as a service and this is all they're ever making."There is "way more" value to giving fans the context and knowledge that Bethesda is still committed to making single-player games after Fallout 76."Take a deep breath; you're going to be OK," Hines said he wants to tell fans about its upcoming games. "We're going to make some stuff you're really going to love."Fallout 76 launches in November for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Starfield will follow after that, with The Elder Scrolls VI coming even later. Back at E3, Bethesda boss Todd Howard said Starfield might not be released on the current generation of hardware, so that being the case, it makes sense that The Elder Scrolls VI is also rumoured to not arrive until new hardware comes out.Sony is rumoured to be working on the PlayStation 5, while Microsoft has already confirmed it is working on multiple new consoles. However, it remains to be seen when these consoles will be announced and then released. Keep checking back with GameSpot for the latest. We also chatted to Hines about how "crunch" culture, streaming technology in the gaming industry, Fallout 76 microtransactions, what he's learned in his 19 years with the company, and a lot more. Check back soon for more from our conversation. As for PAX Aus, it runs through Sunday, 28 October. GameSpot's theatre, the GameSpot Dropbear Theatre, will have programming running all weekend. You can see the full programming lineup for the GameSpot Dropbear Theatre here, while a full list of every PAX Aus panel can be seen here.Info from Gamespot.com

Update: Now that Castlevania Season 2 has hit Netflix in its entirety, we can look beyond the six out of eight episodes that the streaming service provided to us early for review. Although the seventh episode is full of slick action and exciting confrontations, it remains true that much of the season is spent introducing us to new characters while the existing ones--the ones you care about if you enjoyed Season 1--do little but mope and tread water. That pacing issue may make it difficult to get all the way through Castlevania Season 2, even though it's worth it in the end. Read on to learn more.Original review: The first season of Netflix's Castlevania show was really more of a teaser than a full season. Over just four short episodes, it established the main characters and conflict and gave us a taste of the action, with the promise of more to come at a later date. In the portion of Castlevania Season 2 sent to press--six of the eight new episodes--that promise has yet to be fulfilled.Castlevania Season 2 follows characters on two fronts: Dracula's court, and the small crew fighting against him. The latter consists of familiar faces: Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), Alucard (James Callis), and Sypha (Alejandra Reynoso), all of whom we met in Season 1. Like much of Castlevania, the chemistry among the trio has potential, but it's yet to bear fruit, even three quarters of the way through Season 2. Unfortunately, they spend almost the entire first six episodes simply sequestered away in a massive library researching ways to take Dracula down. That probably sounds boring--because it is. And it's made even more so by the distinct lack of action; where Alucard and Trevor clashed blades at the end of Season 1, now they're content to simply trade childish barbs, much to Sypha's (and likely the audience's) frustration. Granted, they are on the same side now, but their dynamic gets old quickly.Belmont and crew's preparatory storyline is really the B plot so far this time around, as the meat of Castlevania Season 2 follows Dracula (Graham McTavish)--or, more accurately, those in his vampire war council, since the Dark Lord himself does literally nothing in all the episodes we've seen so far. There's one medium length flashback in which he massacres a council of merchants who offended him, but it's not like that moves the story along. Dracula is actually extremely morose and depressed throughout Season 2 so far--an enormous sea change from his force-of-nature rage in Season 1, the reason for which is unclear, since these episodes seem to pick up shortly after the last batch.Instead, we follow the intrigue in Dracula's court, which includes the bulk of new characters we meet: Godbrand, a hilariously brutish, hard-living, hard-killing vampire lord voiced with relish by the distinctive Peter Stormare; Carmella, a power-hungry female vampire who immediately starts to question Dracula's rule; and the human-hating-humans Hector and Isaac, who Dracula appoints to lead his war effort. This doesn't go over well with Godbrand, and Carmella seeks her own ends, so there's no end of drama among Dracula's generals.Hector and Isaac are particularly well fleshed out, as we get flashbacks and monologues that describe both why they hate other humans, and how they came to be in Dracula's service. Isaac is a former slave whose master was excessively cruel, while Hector is a "Forge Master" who uses magic to imbue dead things with life, making him the architect of Dracula's demon army. There are other vampires among the war council, and they certainly look cool during the handful of action scenes they take part in during these episodes, but they're not named or fleshed out.One thing Castlevania Season 2 definitely does have is buildup. All the intrigue and tension is leading somewhere--there's never doubt of that. By the end of the sixth episode, with just two more to go, the pieces seem to finally be falling into place. Belmont is fighting demons, Sypha is doing magic, and Dracula is--well, Dracula is still brooding, but the rest of his forces are finally at war. The action is still creatively executed, and fights look cool. But with eight episodes instead of just four, there was hope that Castlevania Season 2 would feel like more of a complete thing. Instead, it feels more like Season 1 was the first act, and this is simply a continuation, and the extra room has been spent developing new characters while the old ones tread water. We'll learn for sure whether it will all lead to a satisfying conclusion when Castlevania Season 2 hits Netflix on October 26.The GoodThe BadAction is creative and coolPacing problemsWell fleshed out new charactersSeveral characters tread waterLots of potential Info from Gamespot.com

The Game of Thrones prequel has found its star. Naomi Watts has been cast as the lead character in the prequel pilot for HBO, Variety reports. This series takes place thousands of years before Game of Thrones, and Watts' character is said to be "a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret."The pilot was penned by Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass) and is aiming to begin filming in early 2019. It was the winning pitch out of five, though HBO hasn't ruled out using one of the other scripts for some purpose. This series "chronicles the world's descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour."Watts' involvement adds serious star power to the pilot, though if this is the Westeros we know, she may not see the series through to its conclusion. The first season of Game of Thrones starred Sean Bean as Ned Stark, who ostensibly seemed to be the main character of the series. But in a rug-pulling that set the tone for the entire series, he was executed before the very first season was finished. We'll have to see how far Watts makes it.Watts is known for her roles in Mulholland Drive, The Ring, and King Kong. She's currently signed on to play Gretchen Carlson in a Showtime limited series about Roger Ailes, and most recently appeared in the revival of Twin Peaks. The Game of Thrones prequel is one of several spin-off series HBO has planned to help fill the gap once the series goes off the air. Its final season has already wrapped and will air next year. The new mobile game, Reigns: Game of Thrones, may even contain some Season 8 hints.Info from Gamespot.com

Red Dead Redemption 2 lets you fish, and it's a robust, enjoyable, and rewarding pursuit that's a perfect for the game at large. It's also somewhat involved, so we've put together a guide to help you learn the basics, so you can quickly start to catch fish and have a fun time. This guide also goes into depth on the different types of fish in the game and where to find them, while we've also provided a the map to help you find all 13 of the game's Legendary fish. Starting off, fishing in Red Dead Redemption 2 is unlocked by playing the Chapter 2 story mission "A Fisher Of Men," in which you teach young Jack Marston to fish. You take little Jack down to the river for a fishing lesson, and this serves as your introduction to the system. How To Fish:The first step is to select your Fishing Rod from the Items menu. Next, you must attach bait to it, and this is divided into two categories: Bobber and Lure (more on that later).Hold LT/L2 to grip the rod and then RT/R2 to cast. How long you hold down RT/R2 will determine how far the cast goes. It might take you a few times to get a feel for it, but it's rewarding to land a cast precisely where you want it. Once you've cast your line out, what happens next depends on the bait you used. With a bobber, all of you have to do is sit and wait to get a bite You can tap RT/R2 to attract a nearby fish (if you're standing close enough to shore you might even see the fish in the water), but do it too much and you'll spook them. With a lure, you have to reel in until you feel a bite. If you see a fish, cast beyond it and reel in the lure so the fish sees it coming by. Be sure to wait until you feel a strong bite before "striking"--with a bobber or a lure--as fish will often nibble a few times before biting down the hook. Once you've landed a fish, the real work begins. The fish will immediately pull back, and you'll feel your line get tight, with your rod bending in reaction to the tugging. Wait until the fish becomes tired before reeling in; trying to reel as a fish is tugging will cause your line to break. With a fish on the line, push the left stick in the opposite direction the fishing is moving to tire it out faster. You can also click in the right stick and push it in any direction to prevent the fish from taking more line out. However, you must be careful with this approach as you can snap your line very easily. You will also snap your line if a fish pulls away and gets behind a rock or other object. You reel in by rotating the right stick counter clockwise. You'll want to reel in as fast as possible when the fish grows tired, while also being mindful of how much line you have out, how taut the line is, and where the fish is in the water. Pushing the left stick down as you reel in speeds up the process because it brings the fish directly in towards you. I found it was helpful, if not a little embarrassing, to use my thumb and index finger at the same time to reel in even faster. The amount of fight a fish puts in is directly related to its size and type. You'll be able to reel in smaller fish such as bluegills, rock bass, and smallmouth bass with relative ease. But catching larger fish, like Sturgeon and Sockeye Salmon, can entail fights that take multiple minutes to complete. If you snap your line, you'll lose your bait or your lure, but don't get discouraged as they are plenty of fish available in Red Dead Redemption 2's numerous lakes, rivers, and swamps.Bait Types:Just like in real life, selecting the right bait is critically important if you want to reel in a big one. You can purchase basic bait types like bread, corn, and cheese, or spend more money on worms and crayfish that help you land bigger fish. There are also lures specific to rivers, lakes, and swamps, as well as "special" lures that you'll need to catch the biggest fish and the Legendary ones. Here is a rundown of the bait types we've come across so far.Bobber:Bread: good for smaller fishCorn: good for smaller fish.Cheese: good for smaller fish.Worms: excellent for medium sized lake fish.Crayfish: good for larger size fish in deeper parts of rivers and lakes.Crickets: excellent for attracting medium-sized river fish.Lure:River lure: attracts all small and medium size fish in rivers.Lake lure: attracts larger lake dwelling fish.Swamp lure: attracts swamp dwelling medium and large size fishSpecial River lure: increases your chances of catching medium to large river fish.Special Lake lure: increases your chances of catching medium to large lake fish.Special Swamp lure: increases your chances of catching medium to large swap fish.Bait And Tackle Shops:The Bait And Tackle shop in Lagras sells everything you need for fishing, including live worms, crayfish, and all lure types. It's the only Bait And Tackle shop we've found so far in the game.Types Of Fish And What To Use To Catch ThemThere are many different types of fish that can be found in Red Dead Redemption 2's lakes, ponds, rivers, and swamps. Here are the ones we've caught so far, as well as the bait type that provided the highest likelihood of reeling them in successfully.Bluegill -- CheeseChain Pickerel -- CornRedfin Pickerel -- BreadRock Bass -- Cheese or other natural baitsSmallmouth Bass -- Any type of natural baitBullhead Catfish -- Cheese or cornPerch -- BreadLake Sturgeon -- Lake lureLargemouth Bass -- CrayfishSteelhead Trout -- WormsMuskie -- Lake lureSockeye Salmon -- river lureWhen To FishThe time of day matters if you want to have the best success fishing. Early morning and afternoon are when fish bite the most, due to bugs flying close to the surface. You should also try to fish when it's raining, because the drops on the water make fish believe bugs are around.Where To Fish And Specific ConditionsTo find the fish you're after, you'll have to fish in the right spot. Here's a rundown of the locations where we've found the following fish.Bluegill -- All lakes and rivers; most active during rain.Chain Pickerel -- Lakes, rivers, and swamps; most active in sunny weather.Redfin Pickerel -- Rivers in the south; most active on warm, sunny days.Rock Bass -- All clear water in the country; most active on sunny days.Smallmouth Bass -- Northern rivers; most active during rain.Bullhead Catfish -- Swamps; most active during rain.Perch -- Rivers and lakes across the country; most active during sunny weather.Lake Sturgeon -- Southern lakes and swamps; most active during overcast weather.Largemouth Bass -- All waters in the south; most active during rainy weather.Steelhead Trout -- Lakes, mostly in the south; most active during rainy weather.Muskie -- Northern lakes; most active during overcast days.Sockeye Salmon -- Rivers in the north; most active during overcast weather. One further note is that fish, particularly bigger ones, loooovvvvve to hang out at the mouths of waterfalls, as the water there is more oxygenated than other areas. Try there if you're struggling.Legendary Fish:Head to the shore of Flat Iron Lake in the Heartlands to a place called Gill Landing. Here, you'll meet a stranger named...Gill, who is a world-renowned fisherman, or at least that's what he wants you to believe. He'll hand you a map with the locations of 13 epic-sized fish you'll find throughout the game. Snag them all and report back to Gill for your prize. These are indeed mighty fish, so expect the toughest fishing battles the game has to offer. You will need to use the "special" lures mentioned above to bag these big ones. The best advice I can give is to try to catch them when they're already close to shore, so as to cut down on your reeling time significantly and improve the odds of landing the fish. Here's the map:Watch Out For GoatsThere are unpenned billy goats throughout Lagras that can cause problems while fishing. On multiple occasions, I was fishing near the swamp and a goat smacked me in the rear, breaking my fishing line while I was reeling in. It was frustrating, and I thought it might have been a bug. But it happened three times, so the lesson here is to watch out for goats while fishing in Lagras.BoatsAt a certain point a few hours into the game, you will steal a boat and bring it to camp. At this point you can use it to head further into a lake to go after the bigger fish that tend to live in deeper water. You can also steal boats you find on your journey to fish anywhere you'd like.No Ice FishingRed Dead Redemption 2 has snowy, cold locations with frozen lakes and ponds, and one of the Legendary fish is located in a lake that is partially frozen over. However, there doesn't appear to be any true ice fishing where you drill through the ice and drop a line in. Here's to hoping Red Dead Redemption 2 gets the guaranteed-seller "Ice Fishing Expansion" down the road… Info from Gamespot.com

In Red Dead Redemption 2, you're going to be spending a lot of time riding your horse. There's nothing but land, and lots of it, in Rockstar's latest open-world so journeying on horseback is a reality you're going to have to accept during the game's opening hours. Fortunately for you, there are ways to expedite your travels. There's a fast travel system hidden in Red Dead Redemption 2. Better yet, there's a couple ways you can go about doing it. Below we highlight the two main methods, but before you seek them out, we do highly recommend making horse riding your primary means of travel. After all, it's your time spent out in the world where you can better discover all the game has to offer, as well as author your own unique adventures. If you're looking for more guides, you'd be remiss not to check out our feature highlighting all the tips you should know before playing. Though, we also have guides on more specific subjects, like gun customization and money making. Be sure to read our Red Dead 2 review if you haven't already. Otherwise, read on!Method 1: Stagecoaches And TrainsIt makes sense that transportation technology of the day would be a form of fast travel in the game. Both stagecoaches and trains can get you places you want to go quickly. However, you'll have to pay a small fee to use them, and they require you to physically travel to them first--you can't just warp around by picking an icon on your map.Stagecoaches appear on the map as an icon that resembles a wooden sign pointing in two different directions. Labeled as "Taxi Coach" in the game, you can use these to take a stagecoach to locations you've previously visited. The fee increases based on the distance travelled, so make sure you've got enough on you to cover the charge. If you're looking to ride a train, you'll to need to purchase a ticket. These are sold at post offices in town, which are icons on the map with an envelope on them. Trains will take you to previously visited towns that have stations with train tracks running by them.Method 2: Camp Fast TravelIt's possible to fast travel from your camp after unlocking the upgrade, “Next in Line." You can find the camp upgrades page by approaching the donation box at your camp. The fast travel upgrade is the second option in the list and costs about $325, so make sure you've saved up enough and find this upgrade worthwhile in general as you may want to refocus your funds on more fruitful endeavors.Once you've unlocked the upgrade, you'll find a map on the back of the stagecoach next to Arthur's bed. You can use it to travel to a variety of locations, which includes certain towns and other significant locations in the game. Be wary, your camp fast travel only works one way, so if you use it to go to a town on the other side of the map, you'll need to either ride your horse, hire a stagecoach, or take a train to get back. In Red Dead Redemption 2, hunting is an important part of exploration and survival in the vast open world. In addition to finding food and other necessary supplies, you'll be able to use materials taken from fallen prey to craft outfits and talismans, which unlock special perks that amplify Arthur's main attributes. As you travel, you may even stumble upon an elusive animal that other explorers have rarely seen. Your first encounter with such a beast will be the Legendary Grizzly Bear, which can offer up a legendary bear pelt if you're able take it down. These Legendary Animals can be found across the many regions of the map and take some extra effort to hunt. While some of these are small in stature, there are many that tower in size over Arthur and are quite dangerous in a fight. But if you're able to take them out, you'll acquire the means to craft some of the game's most valuable accessories and outfits. These particular animals offer the rarest pelts and materials you can find, which can be turned in to the local Trappers and Fences--those shady, black market dealers offering up some of the rarest goods. But rest assured, any materials that can't fit in your bags will be sent straight to the respective merchants. In this feature, we're giving you all the details you need in order to track and hunt each of the game's Legendary Animals. If you want some extra tips for general survival and even fishing--which has its own set of Legendary Fish--be sure to check out our guides and features relating to each of Red Dead 2's most involved gameplay systems. EA has announced that Respawn--the developer behind the critically acclaimed first-person shooter Titanfall 2--is scheduled to launch multiple games prior to the end of 2019. Neither EA nor Respawn has confirmed what those games might be.The announcement came about during a quarterly earnings call, when EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated, "Across multiple studies, we have new projects underway, including games from Respawn that are slated to launch by next holiday season." Respawn is currently working on three titles, so Wilson's reference to "games" as opposed to just "a game" implies at least two are coming out next year. As of right now, Respawn is working on Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, another Titanfall game, and an unnamed VR title.Details concerning all three games are fairly vague, but Respawn CEO Vince Zampella was able to confirm a few details about Jedi Fallen Order at E3 2018--including that the game is scheduled for 2019's holiday season. So it's safe to say that Jedi Fallen Order is one of the games in question, but whether Respawn is also close to finishing its third Titanfall game, the unnamed VR title, or both remains unknown.Zampella has spoken to GameSpot about Titanfall before, admitting that Titanfall 2's sales should have been much better and citing the game's launch window between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as a serious detriment. With that being the case, it would be a little odd for EA to have Respawn launch another Titanfall game during the normally busy holiday season. So if the next Titanfall is coming out in 2019, we imagine it would be coming out earlier in the year. But we'll have to wait and see.Although it's not much, we do have a bit more info about Jedi Fallen Order. The game takes place between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope and puts players in the role of a Jedi Padawan who escaped Order 66. Zampella describes the game as taking place during one of Star Wars' darkest periods, and promises players will be able to use a lightsaber.Info from Gamespot.com

Action movie fans have long known to look to Southeast Asia for the most exciting examples of the genre. The success of 2011's The Raid: Redemption and its 2014 sequel The Raid 2 revealed that there is a wealth of talent in Indonesia, and the new Netflix release, The Night Comes For Us, raises the stakes even higher. It's directed by Timo Tjahjanto, a filmmaker who collaborated with Raid director Gareth Evans on the terrifying Safe Haven, part of 2013's anthology film V/H/S 2, and has previously worked in both horror and action. It takes several stars from the Raid movies and places them in an even more insanely violent context. You won't see a more brutal action movie this year, and providing your tolerance for broken limbs and spraying arteries is high, you're unlikely to see a better one either.Like most movies of this type, the plot is extremely simple. Joe Taslim plays Ito, a gangster who is part of an elite group known as the Six Seas, whose job it is to enforce the smooth running of organised crime within the Golden Triangle, the area that borders Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. But Ito is pushed too far when he is asked to murder a young girl, so he takes the girl and goes on the run, reconnecting with his old gang. Inevitably, his former bosses want both Ito and the girl dead, so they send a seemingly never-ending army of heavily armed killers after them, including Ito's old friend Arian (The Raid's breakout star, Iko Uwais). The story of a former killer seeking redemption and being hunted by his old employers is nothing new; most recently, we've seen Keanu Reeves play this role in the John Wick movies. But what makes The Night Comes For Us stand out is the sheer level of intense, bloody action that Tjahjanto unleashes. It's ostensibly a martial arts movie--while there is some gunplay, most of the fighting is hand-to-hand (or knife-to-throat) combat in small spaces. But this is a world away from the stylised kung fu of Wuxia or Jackie Chan movies. Taslim, Uwais, and the other actors (including The Raid 2's Hammer Girl, Julie Estelle) might be unbelievably skilled martial artists, but they also sell the brutality of this fighting, as limbs are snapped, throats are cut, and heads are crushed. The Night Comes For Us is two hours long, and in lesser hands, the frequency and intensity of the action might become boring. But Tjahjanto understands exactly how to pace the movie. He's careful not to give us too much too soon, introducing the characters and their relationships first, as Ito rejoins his old friends and we learn of his old rivalry with Arian. When the action does explode, Tjahjanto is equally careful never to give us the same scene twice, whether it's the grisly fight scene in a butcher's shop, the sequence in which Ito's gang face down dozens of machete-wielding bad guys in a cramped apartment, or the showdown between Estelle's mysterious assassin and the two deadliest members of the Six Seas. The sheer range of weaponry employed is also impressive--there's guns and knives, but also saws, bones, wires, wine glasses, nails, and pool balls. Basically, if you can hold it, you can kill someone with it.It's refreshing to watch a modern action movie that doesn't feel the need to bombard us with fast editing; Tjahjanto lets us enjoy the skill of his performers and only cuts to a new shot when he needs to crank the excitement even further. The film doesn't have the gliding camerawork of many Asian action movies; much of it is handheld, ensuring we get up close to the mayhem. Uwais might have the second billing in the cast, but he and his stunt team were responsible for the film's insanely dangerous-looking stunt choreography, and this, combined with Tjahjanto's experience in the horror genre and obvious love of gore, results in a movie that will satisfy fans of both genres.Beyond the violence--and let's face it, there's not that much beyond it--the plot is no more than competently told and acted. Uwais and Taslim are not subtle actors, but they have plenty of screen charisma and fully commit to their roles. There are the expected twists and double-crosses, some clichéd villains, and characters whose motivations are left deliberately vague (Tjahjanto is planning another two movies). And ultimately, viewers who like their action movies funnier, slicker, and less gory might find this one a bit much. But for those who want an action movie that pushes the genre and delivers some of the most jaw-droppingly violent fight scenes ever filmed, The Night Comes For Us more than delivers the bloody goods. The GoodThe BadStunning fight choreographyPlot is very familiarSuperbly directed and editedLittle levityInventive action scenesWill just to be too violent for someIncredibly violent Info from Gamespot.com

Because it is a Big Game Coming Out In 2018, EA's Battlefield V will have microtransactions. Now, developer DICE has talked further about how the WWII shooter uses microtransactions, and when they will be available in the game.Starting off, Battlefield V has two forms of currency: Company Coin and Battlefield Currency. Company Coin is earned through in-game progression (ex. career progression, daily missions, special assignments), and you can spend this currency on customisation options for your Company, or group of soldiers."You can use Company Coin to unlock choices within weapon and vehicle Specializations. You can also use Company Coin to get cosmetic items, such as jackets, face paint, and weapon skins," DICE said in a blog post.Cosmetics for soldiers and weapons will be available at launch, while cosmetics for vehicles will launch later in the Tides of War update. The real-money currency in Battlefield V is called Battlefield Currency. You can buy cosmetics with Battlefield Currency, but not items that actually affect gameplay. This is the expected route to go, as DICE's Star Wars: Battlefront II generated a lot of controversy and negative attention for its microtransaction system (which has since been scaled back to only offer cosmetic items to buy with real money).Battlefield V's paid microtransactions are coming sometime after launch. "Balanced rock-paper-scissors gameplay has always been the foundation of the Battlefield series, and our belief is that real-world money should not enable pay-to-win or pay-for-power," DICE said.Microtransactions isn't the only part of Battlefield V coming after launch. The game's battle royale mode, Firestorm, won't be available until March 2019.Info from Gamespot.com
