The deals for Black Friday 2018 keep coming in. We've gotten a glimpse of the upcoming sales that are planned for next week's big retail event on November 23. While it's still a ways out, you can still scope out any sales of interest to plan ahead. One of which we've highlighted here is for WWE 2K19 for PS4 and Xbox One.In various ads that the big retailers have released, including Best Buy, Target, and Walmart, we saw deals for games including God of War, PUBG, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. WWE 2K19 will also see a pretty significant discount during the retail event, going on sale for $30 across both platforms. However, Best Buy in particular is going the extra mile and will offer the game's season pass on both PS4 and Xbox One for $24 during Black Friday.Much like previous entries, WWE 2K19 brings together the roster of wrestling superstars to compete in exhibition matches and main events. In addition to the current roster of wresters, including Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Alexa Bliss, players will also be able to create their own crew of wrestlers with the game's in-depth create-a-wrestler--which can produce some surprising results. If you own the season pass, you'll be able to get instant access to new wrestlers from NXT and 205Live, such as Candice LeRae and Dakota Kai.In our review of WWE 2K19, Richard Wakeling stated: "Despite its flaws, WWE 2K19 is a step in the right direction for the long-running series. After two years toiling away with a dearth of interesting single-player content, the introduction of an engaging career mode is a welcome sight that finally captures some of the personality pro wrestling is partly built upon. The in-ring action is still inconsistent and will be as divisive as ever, but it's easier to stomach when the game surrounding the wrestling action gives you more reasons to play. WWE 2K19 might not reach the lofty heights of wrestling video gaming's heyday--or maybe that's just the nostalgia talking--but it's 2K's best effort so far. Maybe next year we'll be on to a true title contender."So far, these are the only deals for WWE 2K19 that we've found so far. However, there's still plenty of other sales and things to keep an eye on in the meantime. While these deals aren't active yet, looking through our roundups of the discounts will allow you to plan ahead and see what catches your interest ahead of the bid day. Be sure to keep track of our roundup of Black Friday deals on GameSpot.WWE 2K19PS4$30 -- Best Buy$24 -- Season Pass (Best Buy)$30 -- Target$30 -- WalmartXbox One$30 -- Best Buy$24 -- Season Pass (Best Buy)$30 -- Target$30 -- Walmart Info from Gamespot.com

Fences--merchants, not boundary markers--in Red Dead Redemption 2 are the only businesses that will buy goods you've found while looting strangers and rifling through private property, and by gum, they sure are hard to find. Considering the size of RDR2's map, and that there are only four fences in all the land, odds are you may be wondering where they're hiding. We've got a handy reference guide to help locate the black-market traders that peddle in illicit goods.Fair warning: you have to first complete Chapter 2's 'The Spines of America' mission before you can use any fence, and you won't be able to access either of the specialized fences--for horses or wagons--until you reach certain progress milestones in the game's main story.Let's start off with the first location you're likely to find: Emerald RanchFence #1: Emerald Ranch (Unlocks after Chapter 2, Pouring Fourth Oil)The first fence location you might stumble across during the natural trajectory of the story's early mission is located on the south-west edge of Emerald Ranch, on the backside of a massive barn. In additional to its usual services, this is also the only fence that will pay you for turning in stolen stagecoaches and carriages. The same time that you unlock the standard fence at Emerald Ranch, you will also unlock the ability to trade in stolen carriages; simply ride them up to the barn doors to engage the wagon fence. Fence #2: Van Horn Trading PostOn the far-east edge of New Hanover (practically due east of Emerald Ranch) lies Van Horn Trading Post. The fence at this location is tucked away within the rear of building along the docks.Fence #3: RhodesDue south of Emerald Ranch lies Rhodes, a small town with a small trailer park to the north. There you will find a bright red trailer, and on the backside you'll find a counter and a window where the local fence awaits your business.Fence #4: Saint DenisThe far-off bustling streets of Saint Denis are where you'll find the most well-hidden fence of them all. Tucked under the busy market square, it's easy to spot if you keep an eye out for the brick archways, or the green building with bright green shudders. This is also the only fence that will purchase gold bars, valued at a whopping $500 a piece.Horse Fence, North Of Rhodes (Unlocks after Chapter 3, Horse Flesh For Dinner)After completing the gruesomely titled mission mentioned above, you can speak to a pair of strangers northwest of Rhodes, along the waterside, to turn in stolen horses. Microsoft has already confirmed that it's making multiple new Xbox consoles. While specifics are unconfirmed at this stage, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has now spoken up to discuss Microsoft's wider commitment to making new consoles and why he wants more interconnectivity between devices.Spencer told LevelUp that he is "very excited" about Microsoft's plans for new consoles, going on to stress that consoles are not going away anytime soon, despite what some have predicted."The reason I love the consoles that we build is because I think we can build very special consoles," Spencer explained. "I see it today with Xbox One X and how games run on the Xbox One X; I think it's a fantastic place to play. When I look at our future plans, I am very excited about what we are going to do in the console space."While Sony and Nintendo have released their own dedicated portable devices, Microsoft never has. Spencer said people have already decided on a mobile platform for gaming--that being an iOS or Android smartphone. As such, Spencer an Xbox-branded mobile platform is "not a focus right now," though he mentioned that Microsoft's R&D teams are always "incubating ideas" about new platforms.Spencer added that player choice is incredibly important for Microsoft going forward. He referenced how games like Minecraft (which Microsoft owns and operates), as well as PUBG and Fortnite work across a number of devices; Microsoft wants more of its games to support that as well, Spencer said."I try to think about a player's choice," Spencer said. Where do they want to play their games? They should be able to play their games where they want to go play. They should stay connected to their friends, wherever they're playing from. Their library of games, as much as possible, should be with them wherever they go.""The thing I've always thought was a miss was we have so much content that's locked to an individual device," he added. "If I play a console on a television, I play these games. If I play on PC I play those games. I play on a phone I play those games. Some of that's great; because some of those games are purpose-built for that scenario. There are great stories and characters that should .. I think gaming brings people together. And I think the content that I love and the stories; I'd love to see it come to every device."Also in the interview, Spencer addressed the future for game-streaming, which is a relevant and important subject given Microsoft just recently announced that you'll be able to play Halo on a smartphone through its new Project xCloud service. Spencer was adamant that streaming is not going to take over and be the only way to play games. Instead, Project xCloud, or whatever name Microsoft gives the service, will merely be an option. It won't be for "years and years" until streaming takes off, and it will be "way further out" if streaming ever becomes the best way to play games, "if it ever is," Spencer said."It's about choice, not replacing what you do," Spencer said, adding that diversity in gaming business models is healthy for the industry all up.At E3 this year, Spencer said he hopes the next Xbox can offer higher frame rates, while he also hopes the team can deliver a box that launches games faster. Additionally, Spencer noted that the balance between CPU and GPU on console currently is "out of whack" compared to PC, so that's something he would also like to address with the next console. On the subject of streaming, Fallout and Elder Scrolls publisher Bethesda thinks it's going to be a big deal and already has its studios preparing for it. What's more, Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead parent company Take-Two believes streaming is coming, while Electronic Arts has 1,000 people working on an ambitious new technology that involves streaming.Microsoft isn't the only company working on new hardware. Sony has already basically confirmed it's making a PlayStation 5, while a revision of the Nintendo Switch is reportedly coming in 2019.What would you like to see from the next wave of consoles? One of the first things you learn in Red Dead Redemption 2 is how to hunt. It's a survival skill that can help you sustain your cores while out in the wild, and it's a reliable source of cash if you're able to quickly gather and turn around animal pelts--the better the condition, the more valuable, of course. While it can take time to spot high-quality animals and even longer to learn how to hunt them efficiently, without making a mess of their pelt, the hardest piece of the puzzle to figure out early on is where to go to sell fur for cash once it's in your hands. You need a trapper, and we've got an easy-to-follow guide that shows you exactly where Read Dead 2's wandering Trapper can be found; five locations in all.Saint DenisThe main location is in Saint Denis, the bustling city to the south. You can go there at any point after the game sets you free. The trapper is located within a busy market, under the giant brick wall painted red with an advertisement for biscuits. This is this only trapper location within a town or city; the rest are scattered throughout the wilderness.Roanoke Ridge Woods, New HanoverTucked away in the woods, around the northeast quadrant of the map, lies a shady outpost for our industrious trapper. Big Valley (East), West ElizabethSlightly Northeast from the nearby Riggs Station lies our man, setup in the middle of a small clearing.Big Valley (North), West ElizabethWith lots of great hunting opportunities nearby, the convenience of the trapper's spot in the northwest corner of the map is worth taking advantage of.Endgame TrapperWe don't want to get into too many specifics here, but know that this trapper spot won't be available until the final chapter in the game.Info from Gamespot.com

HBO has finally confirmed that the eighth and final season of its acclaimed fantasy drama Game of Thrones will premiere in April 2019. Now, director David Nutter, who is directing the first episode of the final season and others, has shared some intriguing new details. In a Reddit AMA, Nutter answered numerous questions about Game of Thrones, but we should say right at the top that he really only offered high-level details. HBO is going to great lengths to ensure spoilers don't leak, and Nutter did his part to keep things largely under wraps.Starting off, Nutter talked about the challenge--and opportunity--of directing the first episode in the final season. He's directed a number of Game of Thrones episodes in the past, including the one with the infamous Red Wedding scene, but this is his first time directing the first episode of a new Game of Thrones season."I think it's really important to make a splash," he said. "You have to reset the table, put everyone back in their place, you have to take them to their next position. But you have to entertain that's what's most important."Asked to describe Season 8 in three words, Nutter said, "Spectacular, Inspiring, and Satisfying." On the subject of satisfying, Nutter said he thinks people will generally be happy with the way the events wrap up once all is said and done."I'm completely satisfied with how Season 8 ends. I think that [creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss] did a tremendous job, and they took into consideration what the fans want, as well as what is right as far as storytelling is concerned," he said. "I guarantee there's going to be lots of surprises and shocking moments, but it’s really very compelling stuff."As mentioned, Nutter directed the shocking Red Wedding episode from Season 3. Nutter said in the AMA that he was blown away by how the community reacted to the episode, in particular how people filmed YouTube reaction videos. But will there be a Red Wedding-esque moment in Season 8? "As far as season 8 compared to the Red Wedding I just have to tell you: hang onto your seat cause it's going to be special," he said. Also in the AMA, Nutter talked about the length of episodes in Season 8. It was previously rumoured that while there are only six episodes, each might be as long as movie. Nutter confirmed that each installment will be 60-plus minutes, so they're longer than in the past, but probably not movie-length. "Season 8 episodes will all I think be longer than 60 minutes. They'll be dancing around the bigger numbers, I know that for sure," he said.As you'd expect, Nutter said he feels a sense of responsibility to end Game of Thrones in a way that feels satisfying and right for the franchise. Such a task sounds like a very tall order, but Nutter is at least saying all the right things about how he wants to end it all."The biggest challenge directing the final season of Game of Thrones is just the importance of getting it right," he explained. "There was not a second chance to get all of these sequences right, and a lot of sequences had many actors in them and some wonderfully intimate scenes as well. So really it was about taking these characters from point A to B to C to D to E in the various episodes that I did, and making sure that it all balances out properly. We had a lot of rehearsal time and that was really the thing that saved me more than anything else. I'm very happy with the chance to get in there and rehearse with the actors, and I think they were too, and I think it turned out quite well."Nutter also pretty much confirmed the theory that fake scenes were shot so that leaks that may eventually emerge prove incorrect. Asked if he himself knew if he was filming a fake scene, Nutter said, "Well, you have to ask me that at the end of Season 8 because I can't answer that question now."You can read the full AMA here on Reddit. Nutter is one of four directors for the eighth season; the others are Miguel Sapochnik, along with Benioff and Weiss. While Game of Thrones is ending, HBO is producing a spinoff that begins production in 2019. Naomi Watts is set to play one of the leads, while more casting details have also come to light.Info from Gamespot.com

A final Nintendo Direct focused on the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate introduced a whole new mode, which pairs hand-in-hand with its revised way to include beloved characters from a wide variety of new and retro video games. The new "Spirits" system replaces Trophies, letting the company give power-up attributes to still artwork rather than attempt to render 3D models of every character it wishes to reference. You earn Spirits by battling in Spirits Mode, and then they can be used to buff your character. The Spirits come in two varieties: Primary Spirits, which mostly have stat increases, and Support Spirits, which attach to Primary Spirits and imbue you with special skills or abilities. Spirits are ranked by rarity: Novice, Advanced, Ace, and Legend. They also come in three power types: Attack (Red), Grab (Green), and Shield (Blue), in a rock-paper-scissors circle of vulnerabilities. The presentation showed dozens of Spirits rapid-fire style and with some attributes obscured by the various menus. While this list isn't complete, it shows several of the Spirits shown so far, with their special attributes, color affinity, and rarity. Warcraft 3 ultimately led to World of Warcraft, but nearly 15 years of persistent lore and world-building in WoW has rendered some older material outdated. Blizzard plans to correct that in the upcoming Reforged remaster of Warcraft 3, by updating some older pieces to reflect the universe as it currently is."This is a Reforged edition. We're looking at the campaign itself, like The Culling in particular," Brian Sousa, Art Lead on Classic Games at Blizzard, told GameSpot. "We completely redesigned the map layout and made it look like Stratholme from World of Warcraft because people have been in Stratholme, people know the entryway to Stratholme, and the original didn't have any of that. It was a very different feel altogether. It had Greek columns, and it had like weird statues, and a river, and the zoo, and things that people wouldn't recognize if they were from World of Warcraft playing this game."That was one of the things. We're like, 'Well, this should look like Stratholme', so it had a complete redesign with that. As we go through more of the campaign, there's going to be more instances where we do pull on World of Warcraft for influence because they have the lore, they have grounded out all of these characters, all these locations, and they've put so much backstory into just everything. We have a huge library to pull from."This Reforged edition will include remodeled characters and animations, remastered maps, an upgraded UI, and 4K support. A "Spoils of War" edition also nets you bonuses in Blizzard's various other games like Hearthstone, Diablo 3, and Heroes of the Storm.Alongside Warcraft 3: Reforged, Blizzard took the opportunity at BlizzCon to announce a release window for WoW Classic. Like Reforged, it takes a game from Blizzard's classic library and remasters it for modern audiences, but this time it's turning back the clock on lots of the modern touches that have come to WoW over the last decade, to allow players to experience it the way it originally existed. It's coming in the summer of 2019, which will officially mark 15 years since WoW first released.Info from Gamespot.com

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will spend roughly a year after its launch adding more characters, stages, and music tracks via downloadable content. Don't waste time starting that letter campaign for Dixie Kong, though--director Masahiro Sakurai says the roster is already locked."Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s DLC line-up is now complete," Sakurai said in a tweet. "This time the selection was made entirely by Nintendo. I decide if we can create a fighter based on their selection, then come up with the plan."The phrasing does note that the selections were already made "this time," leaving the door open for another series of DLC content to follow that could include fan requests. The community has been vocal about some of their favorite characters, including Waluigi, Banjo-Kazooie, and others. Of course, he could have simply been contrasting this time with last time, meaning the last Smash Bros. game.Six downloadable characters are coming in all. The first, Piranha Plant, will be available for free for everyone who purchases and registers the game by January 31, 2019. He'll come later as a purchasable character. Five more fighters will be added in DLC packs that are bundled with an additional stage and some new music tracks. Those packs will cost $6 apiece, and a Fighter's Pass bundle will get you all of them for $25. Buying the Fighter's Pass will also get you an outfit based on Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.The announcement of Piranha Plant and the DLC fighters came alongside the last two roster reveals in the main game: Ken and Incineroar. That announcement also debuted the final mode, Spirits, which has you take on a series of challenges to earn equippable character buffs. That Nintendo Direct mentioned that the DLC wasn't locked down yet, so the character selections may be very recent.Smash Bros. Nintendo has said it plans to edit an animation in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that features an offensive depiction of Native Americans. The company has said that the decades-old reference does not reflect its current values. The animation comes from Mr. Game & Watch, whose attacks are based on the LCD handheld games from Nintendo. Reset Era noticed the move, which comes from the 1982 cowboy game Fire Attack. That game had you defending a wooden fort from Native Americans wielding torches. The move was shown last week during the final Nintendo Direct presentation for Smash Bros. Ultimate. In a statement, Nintendo indicated it already had plans to remove the animation and that it appearing in the Direct was a simple oversight."Nintendo has been planning to distribute an update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that removes the feather from the silhouette of Mr. Game & Watch," a Nintendo spokesperson said. "The original game on which this depiction of the character is based was released more than three decades ago and does not represent our company values today."We sincerely apologise that this change was not noticed in our marketing material and are continuing our work to make Super Smash Bros. Ultimate an experience that is both welcoming and fun for everyone."This wouldn't be the first time Nintendo edited Fire Attack to comport with the times. When it released the Game & Watch Gallery 4 for Game Boy, it removed the feather from the Mr. Game & Watch character so he would no longer appear to be a Native American stereotype. That same treatment is likely here.Smash Bros. Ultimate releases on December 7, and Nintendo is planning a lengthy post-launch period of extra characters, stages, and music as downloadable content. Game director Masahiro Sakurai recently said those DLC plans are already set.Info from Gamespot.com

At Microsoft's X018 conference, the company finally announced a release date for Crackdown 3. The anticipated open-world sequel will come to Xbox One and PCs on February 15, 2019. As a first-party published game, it will be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on release day.The presentation also took the wraps off of the new Crackdown 3 multiplayer mode, Wrecking Zone. The new mode pits two teams of five against each other in the midst of destructible arenas. An extended gameplay presentation of Wrecking Zone showed off the team combat. To mark the occasion, Microsoft is also releasing the original 2007 game Crackdown as a free backwards compatible download through November 30. You can pick it up through the Xbox Store complete with Xbox One X enhancements.Crackdown 3 has had a shaky road to release. Originally slated for 2016, it shifted to 2017 with big promises of a transformative multiplayer experience. It was then delayed again to 2018, and at E3 this year Microsoft announced yet one more delay. It was expected to lead Microsoft's fall line-up this year, so without it Forza Horizon 4 has been the biggest first-party release on Xbox One. Most recently, Xbox boss Phil Spencer indicated it needed more time.Info from Gamespot.com

If you've pre-ordered Fallout 76, you can start downloading it to be ready for release next week. Bethesda gave word that the install is ready to go, along with instructions on what to do with that beta file you may still have laying around. [Update: Fallout 76 pre-loading is now live on PS4 and PC in addition to Xbox One.]According to a series of tweets, the pre-load is available on Xbox One and will follow for PlayStation 4 and PC soon. If you have the console versions of the beta installed, you can delete them and your progress will still carry over to the full game. If you have the beta on PC, you'll receive a small update that will prepare your game file for launch. The beta came in several waves, and Bethesda has already outlined some fixes and responses to pieces of feedback it received. The company plans to make this a live game, and kicked off the beta with an open letter cautioning that it will be filled with bugs--radioactive and otherwise. The team plans to work on improving it long-term, and keeping the servers running "forever."Though this is Fallout's first foray into an online, connected world, it can be played very similarly to one of the series' single-player adventures. Of course, there are drawbacks to that kind of isolated landscape for those who do want to make it a social experience. One big remaining question that won't be answered until launch is how its cosmetic DLC will work, given that we've seen some items for sale but have no idea yet how the in-game currency translates to real dollars.Fallout 76 is coming November 14. At Microsoft's X018 conference, the company announced the first big expansion for Forza Horizon 4. The DLC is called Fortune Island, and it's set to launch on December 13. It keeps you racing through the UK but takes you to some northern British Isles with particularly craggy mountainsides and dangerous weather like lightning storms. The new setting isn't without its peaceful charms, though, as you'll be able to witness the aurora borealis.Naturally, Fortune Island will come alongside a new set of cars to drive as well. The game has already started rolling out the five custom-built Ford vehicles from the GymkhanaTEN video series. Car Pass members can already grab the 1977 Ford GymkhanaTEN, F-150 Hoonitruck, and the 1993 Ford Escort Cosworth Group A. Later this month they can also get the 1965 Ford Hoonicorn Mustang V2 and the 2017 Ford Fiesta RS, followed by the 2016 Ford GymkhanaTEN Focus RS RX in December.Fortune Island is part of the expansions bundle for $35, which is available for Ultimate Edition owners at no additional cost. If you're a Game Pass subscriber, you've already gotten access to Forza Horizon 4 as part of your subscription, and you can get the expansions as a bundle or individually for 10% off.Setting the expansion in the rocky north should prove a challenge for experienced racers, especially given the game's marquee feature of changing seasons. GameSpot's Forza Horizon 4 review found the seasons had a real impact on gameplay, and contributed to a diversity of race types."Everything you do in Horizon feels valuable, no matter how big or small--from the basic thrills of speeding a fast car down a gorgeous mountain highway to spending time tinkering with your favorite ride to manage seasonal road conditions to just hanging out with friends and strangers online and goofing off in friendly games," said critic Edmond Tran. "The charm of the Horizon series is as palpable as ever, a winning, all-inclusive recipe that celebrates the joy of driving above all else."Info from Gamespot.com

Microsoft announced even more backwards compatible games coming to the Xbox One at its X018 conference. On November 13, the service will add three more games: the full trilogy of Final Fantasy XIII titles with Xbox One X enhancements. Plus Civilization Revolution, which is already available via backwards compatibility, will be getting some Xbox One X upgrades as well. [Update: The latest batch of backwards compatible games is now live on Xbox One.]The original Final Fantasy XIII was Square Enix's big tentpole title in its marquee franchise. For its two sequels--Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII--the studio focused more singularly on the central character of Lightning and blended in some action game mechanics. While FFXIII's narrative was built to stand alone, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns are part of a matched set, with a cliffhanger that neatly leads from one into the other.Civilization Revolution took the sim aspects of the popular strategy series and simplified them for a more quick and casual experience. That helps the interface work a little better on consoles, but the game has hit tons of other platforms including mobile devices. As always, once these go live on the service, if you already own these games you can insert the disc to start the download, or find the digital version in your Games section on the dashboard. The number of games on Xbox One is big and constantly growing, so check out our full list of backwards compatible games to see if any of your nostalgic favorites are already available.Info from Gamespot.com
