Company of Heroes developer Relic Entertainment has launched a teaser for what seems to be a new project that will be formally revealed in the next 24 hours.The developer's Twitch channel is currently showing a video featuring what looks to be old newsreel footage discussing the Italian front of World War II. The countdown clock featured in the video is set to end tomorrow, July 13, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, which is presumably when the official announcement of whatever this is will be made. The Hollywood Reporter revealed Rhimes' new Netflix contract and possible future plans for the combined ambitions of the giant streaming service and the famous TV producer--of which could include a video game adaptation for Bridgerton.Bridgerton is Netflix's most watched original ever, with almost 82 million member accounts tuning in. It's no surprise then that Rhimes' next contract with Netflix, negotiated on the heels of post-Bridgerton society, is a big raise from her initial 2017 contract, according to sources interviewed by THR. She also has bonuses built in the new contract that could earn her a lot more millions, depending on the success of her next projects.Rhimes' new deal will also expand to other forms of entertainment, including live events, VR, branding and merchandising, and the previously mentioned video games. Actor David Harbour has dropped some pretty strong hints about what to expect from his character's arc in the upcoming Season 4 of Stranger Things. Although this video interview with Entertainment Tonight was ostensibly to discuss his role as Red Guardian in the recently released Black Widow, Harbour went surprisingly deep on the Netflix series."It's my favorite season," said Harbour. "I just love it… I think the scripts get better, the show gets bigger in a certain way, but it also gets more fun." 2019's Phoenix Point, a strategy game from XCOM's Julian Gollop, is headed to console. The game will launch on PS4 and Xbox One on October 1 through the Behemoth Edition.All three previous DLC packs, along with a fourth expansion called Corrupted Horizons, will be included with the Behemoth Edition. Players can also look forward to a UI and control setup designed for console, along a new DLC weapon bundle for console players. Microsoft has revealed the patch notes for a new Xbox Insider update, which goes live on July 12 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET for the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring. The full patch notes are below, but the headlining feature is a Quick Resume fix.Since the Xbox Series X|S's release, some games get stuck on a black screen after loading from Quick Resume. Reportedly, users had to close the game entirely to resolve the issue--if Quick Resume wasn't already disabled in that title because of the bug. The Epic v. Apple lawsuit has concluded in the United States, pending a judgment that could still be several weeks or even a few months away. But like that U2 album that Apple gave away for free, the suit will never actually go away and tends to pop up when you least expect it. The case is now set to be heard separately in Australia.The Gamer reports that after Epic began the legal challenge in Australia, Apple argued that the case should be limited to the United States and can be settled entirely there. But Epic won out, which means that the lawyers will present their cases in the Australian court system as well.Australian law reportedly differs slightly than US law on this front, as the question will be whether Apple is violating Australia's Competition and Consumer Act. The court will determine whether Apple's business practices "substantially lessen competition in the market." Vince Gilligan, the creator and writer of the popular TV shows Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is staying in business with Sony Pictures TV, which produces those shows.Gilligan has signed a four-year extension to his ongoing overall deal with the company that The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline say is in the "mid-eight figures" range. Eight figures begins at $10 million, so Gilligan is getting a nice payday here.As part of the deal, Gilligan will continue to serve as the co-showrunner on Better Call Saul alongside Peter Gould, while he will presumably develop new content as well after Better Call Saul wraps up its sixth and final season in 2022. Elite Dangerous creator Frontier Developments has confirmed that the Odyssey update for consoles has been delayed indefinitely so the studio can focus on addressing the myriad issues plaguing the expansion on PC.In a blog post on the game's forum pages, founder and CEO David Braben said working on the issues affecting the PC release of Elite Dangerous Odyssey has resulted in the development timeline for consoles shifting. As such, the Odyssey update for consoles has been pushed back indefinitely so that Frontier Developments can ensure it is in tip-top shape before release. A beta for Gran Turismo 7 has reportedly leaked via the PlayStation website. As reported by GTPlanet, the beta appears as part of Experience PlayStation, a promotional aspect of the PlayStation website that engages players with special promotions through quests and videos.GameSpot was unable to verify this independently, but reports said the beta could be accessed by going to the "Start Quest" and "Related Campaigns," where the "Italia Quest" could be accessed. The quest no longer appears on the Experience PlayStation page, which currently reads "Sorry! There are no quests available at this time!" There were four quests, one of which was called "Gran Turismo Beta (Test)," where after watching a short video players would receive a code for the beta test, however, it was instead just a placeholder code that didn't work.Despite the code not being live, this quest seems to indicate that there is a Gran Turismo 7 beta possibly coming in the future. The reward code specified that it was for "PS5 Only," however that might just be because that beta code is only for PS5, since Herman Hulst, the head of PlayStation Studios, said Gran Turismo 7 would be releasing on both PS4 and PS5. A trio of writers at Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries have announced a partnership with publishing house Dark Horse Comics to release a nearly 500-page Halo Encyclopedia for the most ardent of franchise fans out there.Franchise and narrative writer Jeff "GrimBrotherOne" Easterling posted the news on the game's official website. The new Halo Encyclopedia--written by Jeremy Patenaude, Kenneth Peters, and Easterling--is slated to arrive on March 29, 2022 and comes in at around 25% larger than the previous one.
