The previously announced dramatic re-interpretation of the popular '90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is getting new co-showrunners in T.J. Brady (The 100) and Rasheed Newson (Narcos). This news comes via The Hollywood Reporter, which is also reporting that Chris Collins (The Wire) is stepping down from his post as showrunner and executive producer on the series.It's unknown what involvement Collins may now have with the developing series, but Brady and Newson were already working with him on the project previously. No cast members have yet been announced for the series, and it's also unknown if any of the original series cast members will appear. (A reunion aired last fall, indicating many of the original cast members still have a fondness for the series.) However, there's still reason to expect this to see the light of day--The Hollywood Reporter is also indicating that the series will debut on Peacock sometime in 2022, with a two-season order.The concept originated from a four-minute viral clip that was originally posted in March 2019 by Kansas City filmmaker Morgan Cooper. Street Fighter V's updates will end with an entirely new character, as Capcom has announced the final downloadable character for the game: Luke, a mixed martial artist.The announcement was made during the Street Fighter V Summer Update livestream, where a small teaser video of the new character was shown. Luke shows off a few of his moves, including being able to charge up moves for extra damage and a quick punch projectile.Not much information was given on the character, other than he represents "the future of the franchise" according to the developers on the livestream. Luke was confirmed for a November release, with more information to come. Ric Flair has been reportedly released by WWE. Fightful has reported that the 16-time World Champion requested and was granted his release from the company. Gamespot has reached out to WWE for comment. Flair re-signed with WWE last year but hasn't been seen on weekly TV for months. Ubisoft has softened the disappointment of Rainbow Six Extraction's recent delay, announcing a brand-new in-game event for Rainbow Six Siege.The event is called Containment, and it offers a tease into the world of Extraction through a new game mode called Nest Destruction. Set on a reworked version of the popular Consulate map, Nest Destruction sees a team of attacking Operators facing off against a team of Proteans, hostile variants of the Archæan race from Extraction who can take the form of defending Operators. Containment runs in Rainbow Six Siege from August 3 to August 24.Proteans will be limited to melee attacks, but will have increased speed, additional health, and special abilities adapted from current operators Aruni and Oryx. Apex Legends Emergence has finally arrived, and it's added a whole new array of new content to the popular battle royale game. Season 10 brings many new additions, including buffs to Fuse and Caustic, nerfs to Horizon and Revenant, a new gun, and a major change to the World's Edge map.The biggest addition in Emergence is the new Legend, Seer. Born under a bad sign, Seer is a recon-oriented Legend with abilities that track, reveal, and interrupt the actions of your opponents. His Ultimate creates a sphere of microdrones that reveal the footsteps or gunfire of nearby enemies, which gives you a major leg-up on opponents.The game's World's Edge map is the site of another major shift. Overmining has pushed the land to its edge, and there are now two weather-control machines on the map that have made it into a winter wonderland with lava in the center. Emergence also adds a new gun to the game in the form of a Rampage, an LMG similar to the L-STAR. Battlefield 2042 does not have a campaign, but EA and DICE are not abandoning story altogether with the futuristic military shooter. A standalone short film set in the year 2042 is coming, and you won't have to wait too much longer to watch it. The movie will premiere on August 12 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 5 PM CEST. "Witness the locations of Battlefield 2042 through the eyes of embedded journalist Kayvan Bechir," reads a line from its description. It seems like there will be teasers each day until August 12, as EA said players can expect more information every day until the full video premieres.
