Calling all Middle-earth fans--a new mega-bundle that collects all six movies in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit franchises is coming this October on 4K.The $250 Middle Earth 6-Film Ultimate Collector's Edition, as it's called, launches on October 26 in the US. The bundle comes with 31 4K and Blu-ray discs in all, comprising the theatrical and extended cuts of each movie, along with director's commentary from Peter Jackson.Unfortunately, it appears this giant package leaves out the celebrated Appendices, which are the highly detailed, incredibly informative, and illuminating behind-the-scenes features that originally came with the movie on DVD. Final Fantasy XIV-themed fried chicken has gone on sale in Japan at the Lawson convenience store chain. It's got the enigmatically described flavor of "the Crystal of Light and Darkness," which translates to pepper and tartar sauce plus a strange-looking color scheme.Fried chicken, called karaage, is a popular snack at convenience stores in Japan, and it will often come in flavors that are far afield from what Americans might find at their local KFC or Zaxby's. But this particular flavor is likely strange relative to Lawson's normal lineup. If you've kept up with the recent gaming landscape, it feels like we've seen Far Cry 6 again and again at every event to the point where Ubisoft might be oversharing a bit. So it was kind of relieving to get my hands on the game instead of passively observing. Developer CD Projekt Red has scooped up some modders to help the team iron out Cyberpunk 2077 backend issues and work on official mod support.The news comes by way of Twitch streamer and YouTuber Tyler McVicker, who spotted in a Discord server that the Budapest-based custom development studio Yigsoft will be joining CD Projekt Red's ranks. Five years after it first launched, No Mans Sky has expanded its universe with a number of free expansions. The next DLC is titled Frontiers, and for one fan, it can't come soon enough. Beleaguered former Jeopardy host has just been fired as executive producer of that show and also Wheel of Fortune, according to Variety. Hearthstone is getting its first crossover character from another Blizzard franchise, as part of its upcoming Mercenaries game mode. The new mode launches on October 12, and one of the eponymous mercenaries will be the devil himself from the Diablo series. Developer Motive Studios has confirmed that while Gunner Wright will return to voice Isaac Clarke in the upcoming Dead Space remake, the main character of the sci-fi series will only have dialogue under certain situations.Isaac in Dead Space from 2008 was voiced but had no real dialogue, with Wright only providing grunts and screams. That changed with Dead Space 2 and 3, which saw Isaac develop more personality and an actual voice. Motive Studios, during the recent Dead Space livestream, revealed that Wright will once again voice Isaac and that he will have more dialogue this time around.But Isaac won't talk all the time, as a key pillar of Dead Space, according to Motive Studios, is the game's isolation.
